  1. Microscopic Ray-bans?
  2. If healthy, probably true...
  3. He had 700 receiving yards, or about 50 more than James White had last year. Let’s not pretend all #1 receivers are created equal. (Lee also did not lead the team in yards.) Lee was helped immensely because Allen Robinson got injured in the first half of the first game that year and never returned. And this assumes he’s still the same player...
  4. Each team can operate on a different frequency. Like how NFL teams do. Both head coaches wear headsets, but they don’t hear the same thing. Each stadium also has a guy responsible for assigning frequencies. Said person reports to the NFL, not the home team. MLB could easily follow this model...
  5. With ear pieces? The coach can speak into the mic to call the pitch and have both batterymates hear it. No need for signals at all....
  6. But can he ever come back from them? He wasn’t all that much before getting hurt...
  7. I forgot about Lee, but then he’s only caught 3 passes total in the past two seasons...
  8. Well they are certainly working on the TE angle. No idea if they plan for a QB, but so far after 3 QBs went in the top six picks, only two have been taken since. WR could have used some flash. The Patriots depth chart there is N’Keal Henry, Julian Edelman, Mohammed Sanu, Jakobi Meyers, dreck. So they’re one injury from Jakobi Meyers in three wideout sets without Tom Brady...
  9. All MLB has to do is allow pitchers and catchers to wear earpieces and let hand signaling disappear. No signs to steal = no sign stealing...
  10. So you’re saying it’s MLB’s version of Deflategate, where the Patriots were punished for being unpopular and because NFL referees have no idea how to use pressure gages...
  11. With 5 picks, what direction should the Patriots go? Still a few intriguing QBs out there, including Jacob Eason, Jake Fromm, and Jalen Hurts. WR is another possibility, with Michael Pittman and Denzel Mims still on the board.
  12. I’ve never watched it. I’ll turn it on once or twice and check out the scrolling list of picks then change the channel ...
  13. He's kidding. There's more smoke than in a Cheech and Chong movie...
  14. Any predictions on the winner of tonight’s Aaron Rodgers Award given time the athlete who unexpectedly falls the furthest? I’m thinking Justin Herbert. Based on nothing (but hope that he reaches New England)...
  15. Breaking news that the Yankees were cheating!! Tomorrow’s headline - water is wet!!!
  16. The problem was largely with the SP. The pen was OK by some metrics but was also overworked. The real problem was #extensiongate that severely limited the Sox ability to make any improvements...
  17. I think #globalpandemicgate might have a similar effect...
  18. Well, if “they” are saying it. So you’re saying “Pffft! Only 30,000 Americans dead. Why all the bitching? My mom’s meatloaf kills TWICE THAT!”
  19. So you’re saying those 45,000 Americans are not dead?
  20. They’ve won 10 or more games every year since 2002. That’s insane. That 2003 team was probably the best team in NFL history. They played an insanely tough schedule and still went 14-2 on their way to a Super Bowl title...
  21. The Patriots have had some horrific seasons. This is a team that won 19 games total in the 5 seasons before drafting Drew Bledsoe. They went 1-15 in 1990, only beating the Colts. And the general feeling was “what the f*** is wrong with the Colts?” They had one year where they went 2-14 and the Colts also went 2-14. The difference was BOTH of the Colts’ wins were over the Patriots. (The Colts were in the AFC East back then.). Those were some bad, bad, bad teams. But I’m not ready to write them off. I don’t have faith in Stidham, but I do have faith in Belichick...
  22. Belichick doesn’t do third place...
  23. Just the replay room guy. No biggie...
  24. ... which is made doubly-weird because his other posts are about how COVID-19 is all a big fraud...
  25. There was evidence that the Codebreaker program had started in 2016 before Cora was hired. Now, Luhnow is another matter...
