  1. He's 51-/ He's been "making adjustments" since last September. Let him earn some of that salary in the Pen. Hopefu;;y as the closer.
  2. "He'll be fine" I've been hearing that since last September. He's a 4 inning pitcher! Rivera was a 2 inning pitcher, and used that way. I've been sayimg it almost all year. TRY HIM AS A CLOSER! Right now we don't need 6-10 starters
  3. Another 5 rn 5 inning game. What's his record now. What sense is there in carrying a liability on the roster? Try him in the pen, last resort, and maybe he''ll discover somethingwhile pitching in lost game Marco is a major league player and belongs on a major league roster.
  4. Is DD going ro put up with Chris Sale the rest of the year> How much more do we have to see? Trade him, sell him. He'll keep drag us down otherwise. At his cery best, he's a 5 inning pitcher. We need better than that.
  5. To DD: Check Sanchez (p) from Totonto. 4 innings today, one hit 8 k's/ Record a disaster and looks like Pedro today. ( N;ister issue solved? Maybe it's the gum! He fanned the first 6, but id settlimg down/
  6. Makes sense. I couldn't have said it better!
  7. Trae Moreland. Alternate Hernandez and Chevis at IB Keep Holt at 2nd
  8. Not even on the roster? He was looking pretty damn good to me!
  9. Yep, it worked again, Buddy! Every time I want to bench or trade someone, they go on a tear! Go, man!
  10. No harm in trying! Maybe couple him with one our hot shot relievers!
  11. And defensive replacement.
  12. Great to hear from you. You always make sense. Some of the 1B men I see around could probably use a defensive replacement also. Moreland has had both offensive and degensixe talents,
  13. Still gas some value, but not here, what with newbies coming up every day who need to play. My giess is that they may be looking at a decent rellief pitcher for Moreland. Wjat sayeth Ye you guys who pay more attention to trade whispers than I do?
  14. I'm rooting for the Yanks every time they play any one of 5 teams.
  15. If piching is 75% of the game (Connie Mack, for the young folks), then we are realy in touble. Wht has happened to alost an entire staff (and it only takes 3 o4 stiffs to make it a bad pitchong staff). Coaching is my guess
  16. These arguments for automatic one inning mazimum, didnt mahe sense 15-20 years ago when you gave 2 innings (or sometimes more) when you were getting people out. Which was the name of the game (THAT game) That's why they hav 6 or 7 relievers!
  17. I think I've asked this question before, but last night'sgame was a terrible example. Six relievers gave up three hits, ttoal, struck out 7, and were done after one ining. Why? To me, they looked like they were just getting warmed up, and here comes the next guy. An unkown for a known.???????
  18. P;ease! No more of this 1B crap! I want this guy behind thhe plate 4 out of 5 games, and DG in the other games!
  19. His "demise" started a year ago! Noby is going to wave a magic wand. He's done. A couple of months ago, I thought he would make a good closer. Not any more. Maybe mop-up duty just in case he does improve. But 3-9 ? 3-9 When he hit pitch No 40 last night they should have had someone warming up. Alex and DD have got to face the facts. "Hoping" days are long over.
  20. And Sale dies.
  21. I hate to say "I told you so", but I did! Everytime Sale's been to the mound for the PAST 6 WEEKS! i can no lonereven see him the Pen except on "lost" days. If the powers can't see this, THEY should be canned.
  22. A very strange switch after 4 straight wins!
  23. Are they show casing Brock Holt? I hope not.
  24. Well, the fiasco we watched in London should be taken into consideration , also. We have a second half coming up, and they may have to use pitching machines by World Series time! Chris Sales' slide started last year. When were these new balls first used? It's not he;ping the game. I can't believe we'll never see a Tiant-like pitching performance ever again!
  25. I'm wondering how man old cold war bearings, aeronautics and just plain friction labs are scooping up ten year old baseballs on eBay these days. Engineers of that old school would have a field day with variety of coeefficints of friction PVT's etc. I wonder how many different skin and thread varieties have been used over the years, I think it is also obvious that what is making the ball 'hot' is aslo affecting the pitchers who were throwing 102 MPH last year and are now averaging about 92-93 Tip: find a couple of research engineers working for Precision Bearing Companies, and make you self a fortune!. It's a time consuming project, but not very difficult. Comments?
