    On Rafaela, nobody will claim his plate discipline has been fixed. He still has a long way to go, and we know they've been trying to help him improve in this area for many years. 2023-2024 to 2025 K%: 27.1%>20.0% BB%: 2.9%> 4.7% HR%: 2.6%> 3.0% OPS: .664>.695 We need to see continued improvement in these areas. It would help if he'd not decline sharply near the ends of most seasons. I think we all like consistency over streakiness, but I'll take a rerun of JBJ's first 8 seasons in MLB. Near GG defense. .732 OPS, but .769 after his first 2 seasons (101 OPS+) I'm not sure why JBJ has gotten such a bad name. He started slowly and dropped off badly after age 31, but so what?

    Woo lost. Jh Garcia homered. Guerrero got lit up for 3 runs in 1 IP, so I'm not sure he's getting close to a call-up. POR lost 1-0. Rogers looked good. Sansone went 3 IP from the pen (3IP, 1H, 0BB, 2K) He has a 0.00 ERA at AA.

    Both TEX teams lost, so a golden opportunity tonight. SEA is up 11-1 and TOR won. The ALE is pretty much out of our reach, now.

    Or, 1-0 v NYY and 2-1 A's. Then 3 at TBR, 3 at TOR and 3 v DET: maybe have to go 5-4? That's 8-5, total. We might win at 7-6 of squeak in at 6-7, but 5-8 would likely mean another disappointing season.

    It would be crushing, but the way this team has bounced back, time and time again from similar down times over this season, I will not count them out. We could really use Abreu's bat, ASAP!!!

    This has to be the most meaningful game since the 2021 playoff games vs HOU. Let's hope we do better than that last game of those playoffs. We may need a CG shutout from Crochet with the way our offense is looking. GO SOX!!!

    I was surprised he wasn't traded over this season. Maybe nobody wanted him (likely): maybe Brez set a price too high for anyone who was interested (less likely.) I think we'd keep DHam over Grissom due to his PR value and his better 2B defense. Both could easily be gone by opening day, with DHam the more likely trade candidate and Grissom the DFA'd or non tendered guy. Hey, what's the difference between non tendered and DFA'd?

    All teams do this to some extent, but the Sox seem to corner the market on it, every season. The Yanks have won 27 games by 5+ runs and 24 by 6 or more runs. They even scored 7 or more runs and lost 5 times. Yankee big wins: 12 (15-3, 13-1) 11 (20-9, 11-0) 10 (12-2, 13-3) 9 (11-2, 9-0, 12-3, 12-3, 11-2) 8 (10-2, 10-2, 9-1, 10-2) 7 (12-5, 10-3) 6 (10-4, 11-5, 8-2, 7-1, 10-4, 7-1, 9-3) In the Yankees 17 biggest blow-outs (7 or more runs, they outscored their opps by 157 runs! Wins by 6 or more runs 29% Yankees: 24 of 83 wins 23% Red Sox 19 of 81 wins

    Imagine placing a parlay on Story leading the team in HRs and RBIs, this year? Can you say, "Buy me a mansion!?" Now, add SBs (28-23 over Duran and NO CS!) The only bummer part of his 2025 portfolio is the .306 OBP. His D is not what it used to be, but it's still a plus, to me.
