    I'd have sat Nunez. I'd also rather have Holt vs a lefty than Kinsler. Holt actually has a slightly better OPS vs lefties. .708 vs LHPs .704 vs RHPs (Kinsler is .446 vs LHPs this year but .851 career.) I would not sit JBJ in Yankee Stadium.

    I've kind of lost faith in Nunez. I'd be fine with Kinsler at 2B and Holt at 3B. We can PH for Kinsler and move Holt to 2B later in the game.

    Me too, I'd just assume bench Kinsler or Devers/Nunez to get Holt into the line-up. Keep JBJ in the expansive Yankee Stadium CF.

    At least if an ump consistently calls a low outside strike a ball, a pitcher and batter can adjust. Being inconsistent makes it very difficult.

    I'm excited about Porcello getting the chance to close out the Yanks. It won't be easy, but after watching Eovaldi step up last night, I'm hopeful Porcello does as well.

    JBJ is at .851 since June 24th, not counting the playoffs. He's at .793 since May 20th.

    Watching Gardner run down all those long shots last night showed the importance of great CF defense in Yankee Stadium (although Betts in CF is not a bad thing either).

    That's probably his longest consistent stretch of his career. (He was also 1.216 his last 6 games of June and .851 his last 14 games of June)

    It was just 3-0 when JBJ walked in the 4th and later scored. Did you feel the game was over at that time?

    Great post. You can bet teams know what calls some umps get wrong and try to pitch "around" it.
