  1. One game, he went o for 3 with a BB and a big run scored. The next game he was 0 for 1 with a BB, so he got on base in 2 of his 6 PAs after that big game and before today.
  2. He’s never a GG candidate.
  3. I was just guessing, because I couldn't believe they'd bring him in during a high leverage situation.
  4. What good would Moreland have done us, last year? We got two good prospects for him (Potts & Rosario). It's hard to give that trade any grade, at this point.
  5. Bogey is so far from GG, it isn't funny.
  6. Going for 4 in a row. Scores some runs, today!
  7. Were his high leverage situations early in the year?
  8. That would make it more complicated but also more accurate. At the start of the year, how do you know who the best offensive teams are?
  9. Yes, I forgot Winckowski, who does show some promise.
  10. I'd add Seabold to the starter list, but he's hurt, now. I would not put Feltman second to Bazardo. We have Brasier coming back, at some point. I'm not sure if he can ever pitch as well as he did a couple years back, but he's got more promise than anyone else, IMO. Others I'd put ahead of Feltman, who is in AA, right now besides Brasier & Bazardo (In no particular order): Brewer Weber Walden Schreiber Simpson Ort Brennan Workman McCarthy Maybe Blair, Hall, Poyner
  11. There were 3 parts of the Beni trade: 1. Franchy 2. Saving a few million- this year and next. 3. 3 PTBNLs I'm not sure Franchy was the main reason this deal was made. I'm pretty sure #2 & #3 combined outweighed #1.
  12. The only time Taylor pitches in a high leverage situation is after he makes a low or medium leverage situation into a high one by loading the bases, and they leave him in too long to face a batter or two at high leverage.
  13. We can't pitch Barnes for 85 innings- his pace right now, so we'll need to moves someone into a more high leverage role, soon. Sawamura? Valdez? Whitlock & Andriese are our long men. I don't think Houck should be converted to a set up man role. Bazardo? I'm not saying one of these guys can't do it, but I hope we don't have to trial and error it through all of them until we get one right, while killing their confidence to fill the lesser roles they have been doing well in, so far. We can't really trade for a solid RP'er, right now, can we? If yes, who do we trade? Could Whitlock or Houck taking a starter role create a solid RP'er out of Perez, Pivetta or Eovaldi? I'm not willing to suggest we try that.
  14. Let's hope we never need them, when the game is on the line.
  15. Does any media guy have the balls to ask Bloom or Cora a blunt question like this?
  16. I never thought I'd be happy seeing Taylor brought into a game in the 9th.
  17. He has to return the master copy of the Bloom beastiality videos.
  18. Plawecki: "Throw it right down the middle." Brice: "That's what I'm trying to do!"
  19. This game should seal his fate. No pressure, at all, and this is what he brings?
  20. Then, when he aims for a corner, it might go right down the middle, hit the batter or be 3 feet outside.
  21. Does he just aim for the middle- knowing there's a good chance he'll miss by enough to catch a corner?
  22. Brice is about as wild as I've ever seen anyone.
  23. This is the only time I felt pretty safe with Brice on the mound.
  24. Damn! I just jinxed Richards with my no BB talk.
