I'm not sure just Brasier makes our pen solid.
I think our hope is with Sale, Whitlock (weakens the pen by starting him) and Houck/Seabold is all we will get for starters.
The pen is where we may look at an addition. Maybe a cheap 1B rental. (We are not bringing up Casas.)
As strange as it seems, ERod's ERA went down, Santana's OPS climbed, Dalbec went back under .690 and Kike passed him and is now poised to pass .700, again.
You know how there are seasons in Sox history, where we'd lose more of these types of games than we'd win, and you just felt in your gut, "it wasn't meant to be, this year?"
This season is far from that feeling.
I'm guessing they tell him not to try and max out his velo, just yet.
92 is more than I expected, so soon.
Sale is a ball-buster competitive freakazoid. We need to make sure that doesn't cause a set-back.
Imagine, if we got the "old Sale" back near the deadline.
Houck and Brasier could just be gravy.
