  1. Props to a good plate ump, tonight.
  2. Barnes needs to stop his slide: 2 straight blown saves.
  3. Can he be any worse? (The sample sizes are too small and unbalanced to tell.)
  4. Marwin's survival of the fittest.
  5. No 3rd catcher, in case of injury? Maybe?
  6. I hate bunting, but with Marwin....
  7. Bobby Dee needs to show he belongs.
  8. I'm not happy when anyone gets hurt, but that is pretty cheezy. BTW, it's not a "rule change." It's just word getting out about a rule being followed.
  9. Dalbec has started to show signs of life-- 3 Hrs, a 2B & 3B in his last 9 games. Santana is the one that should go, if anyone.
  10. D Hern should always start an outing with the bases empty.
  11. It's not like Plawecki has been doing poorly. Vaz is second in MLB in innings at catcher. Plawecki is 56th.
  12. Been saying that for years, but people bring up "pitch- framing" and other baloney. For years our back-up catchers get better results from the same pitchers as he does. Yes, he has hit better than most catchers, and he does some other things well enough, but handling the staff has almost always been an issue with him.
  13. For either team in a Sox game, yes.
  14. Not if the defense could make a couple plays.
  15. He was scorching the ball for outs before and during this hot streak.
  16. ERod on pace for 21-22 Ks, tonight! We've seen a bunch of no hitters, and with the great increase in league K rates, you'd think a big K pitcher might challenge the record at some point. (Not ERod.)
  17. They always find ways to keep doing well. Counting on Rich Hill to step it up may be too much to ask. These numbers do not look too easy to beat: ERA/WHIP 3.38/1.020 Rich Hill 3.63/1.083 Yarbrough 2.70/1.243 Collin McHugh 3.20/1.030 Josh Fleming 4.50/1.067 Luis Patino 4.54/1.210 Wacha 4.54/1.366 McClanahan Pen 2.81/1.130 Diego Castillo 1.44/0.862 Kittredge 1.84/0.989 Thompson 1.06/1.176 Fairbanks 1.69/1.250 Strickland 3.41/1.034 J Springs
