Why repeat what made us like 2020? Some memories are very short.

I've said all along, something like Gray and Santana or Boyd and Schoop. (a rental and a 1 more year guy) That makes us better than NYY, TOR, TBR and about even with HOU & CWS while retaining our future goals intact. Disagree, if you want, but my position is logical and valid.

I'd be fine trading or DFA'ing Richards, but I do think he's better than Workman & Andriese.

You obviously don't know my position. The deadline is tomorrow. We were never going to trade enough to becoem faves over the Dodgers and Padres. Never. We will make a move(s) to improve without hurting the future. We will go for broke in a year or two, and look to surprise this October. Sit back and enjoy the rest season we are having. Why bust a nut over nothing? Did you really want us to outbid the Dodgers and piss away our future? We just drafted a whizz and lose a bunch of salary, this winter.

So, Gray's been lucky three straight years. Got it. Look, I'm not saying he's great. He's better than what we have. That was my point. He's no Scherzer or Berrios. I never said he was.

Do an ERA- or + study on Gray from 2021, 2020-2021 or 2019-2020.Better yet, just look at my data I provided. It's all about run prevention numbers. Gray is better than 3-4 or our starters in any time period after 2018.

No top prospects because these guys weren't worth them. He did give up some decent farm hands. I'm glad they went buyer vs seller. Super glad. Bloom will do something. Better.

Those are two losing moves by Cash. He's desperate, and it shows. If Bloom gets Gray & Santana, we get better by more than the Yanks and will give up less to get them. Calm down. Bloom da man.

They got worse after 2021 and are not a top 4 fave in the AL.

Berrios would be an example where the consolation prize beats the grand prize. (I'm pulling for Jon Gray and Carlos Santana.)

That's it. We will trade for a pitcher or two, very soon. I still think we should trade or DFA Richards, and maybe even trade Perez, too. He won't likely do well in the pen. That frees up room for Houck, Sale and 2 pitchers, assuming we DFA Workman and one from Rios or Andriese. It's time to have your best players on the 26 man roster.
