  1. Why repeat what made us like 2020? Some memories are very short.
  2. I've said all along, something like Gray and Santana or Boyd and Schoop. (a rental and a 1 more year guy) That makes us better than NYY, TOR, TBR and about even with HOU & CWS while retaining our future goals intact. Disagree, if you want, but my position is logical and valid.
  3. I'd be fine trading or DFA'ing Richards, but I do think he's better than Workman & Andriese.
  4. You obviously don't know my position. The deadline is tomorrow. We were never going to trade enough to becoem faves over the Dodgers and Padres. Never. We will make a move(s) to improve without hurting the future. We will go for broke in a year or two, and look to surprise this October. Sit back and enjoy the rest season we are having. Why bust a nut over nothing? Did you really want us to outbid the Dodgers and piss away our future? We just drafted a whizz and lose a bunch of salary, this winter.
  5. Potts wont even be on our 40 man, next year.
  6. The deadline is tomorrow.
  7. So, Gray's been lucky three straight years. Got it. Look, I'm not saying he's great. He's better than what we have. That was my point. He's no Scherzer or Berrios. I never said he was.
  8. Our pen is fine. Plus, if we add a SP'er, we'll move Richards to the pen.
  9. It's all about timing. That's why this is not the year to go all in and try to top teams like LAD and SDP. Had we gotten Rizzo and Berrios, we'd still fall way short of LAD,
  10. Jon Gray would not be a minor upgrade or sideways move... Out of 180 SP'ers ERA- Leaders June 5th> ERA- 9. Jon Gray 55 26. Eovaldi 68 88. ERod 105 104. Pivetta 120 112. Perez 131 130. Richards 159 2021 Season Eovaldi 77 Jon Gray 78 Perez 92 Pivetta 100 Richards 114 ERod 116 2020-2021 78 Eovaldi 93 Jon Gray 94 Perez 95 Pivetta 114 Richards 116 ERod 2019-2021 85 Jon Gray 90 Eovaldi 91 ERod 94 Perez 95 Pivetta 114 Richards
  11. Rizzo's OPS+ trend: OPS+ in 2 year increments 149 2014-2015 137 2016-2017 132 2018-2019 111 2020-2021
  12. Yes, it's always about SP'ing. The Dodgers and Padres know this. The Yanks go bats. Silly Yanks! Dumb Cashman.
  13. Do an ERA- or + study on Gray from 2021, 2020-2021 or 2019-2020.Better yet, just look at my data I provided. It's all about run prevention numbers. Gray is better than 3-4 or our starters in any time period after 2018.
  14. No top prospects because these guys weren't worth them. He did give up some decent farm hands. I'm glad they went buyer vs seller. Super glad. Bloom will do something. Better.
  15. Those are two losing moves by Cash. He's desperate, and it shows. If Bloom gets Gray & Santana, we get better by more than the Yanks and will give up less to get them. Calm down. Bloom da man.
  16. They got worse after 2021 and are not a top 4 fave in the AL.
  17. Berrios would be an example where the consolation prize beats the grand prize. (I'm pulling for Jon Gray and Carlos Santana.)
  18. I love it!
  19. He's a shiny mirage. (He reminds me of CC.)
  20. Danny Duffy & Cash to Dodgers for a prospect.
  21. Richards & Potts and $2M for Voit.
  22. Part III begins after the deadline.
  23. See above. Just say no to Rizzo. Please!
  24. Really? OPS+ in 2 year increments 149 2014-2015 137 2016-2017 132 2018-2019 111 2020-2021
  25. That's it. We will trade for a pitcher or two, very soon. I still think we should trade or DFA Richards, and maybe even trade Perez, too. He won't likely do well in the pen. That frees up room for Houck, Sale and 2 pitchers, assuming we DFA Workman and one from Rios or Andriese. It's time to have your best players on the 26 man roster. Bye-bye: Richards Perez Workman Rios Andriese Santana (Keep Chavis in the minors.)
