One thing to remember is that Duran has never started in CF or LF more than 117 games in any season. Last year, was the most he ever started in any one slot (117 gms in LF.) Games started: 2021: 25 CF/ 1 LF 2022: 37 CF/ 7 RF/ 1 DH 2023: 52 CF/12 LF/ 1 RF/ 1DH 2024: 89 CF/ 71 LF 2025: 117 LF/ 15 CF Innings: 2021: 215/223 CF 2022: 416/463 CF 2023: 557/731 CF 2024: 810/1421 CF (Rafaela used at SS 647/2B 45) 2025: 1149/1346 LF DRS: Abreu: RF +32 (1776 innings) LF +1 (113) CF -1 (87) Rafaela: CF +32 (1915) -3 SS (692) +2 2B (221) Duran: CF -4 (2193, but +17 in 2024) LF +17 (1941), RF +1 (50) OAA Abreu: RF +14, LF +1, CF -1 Rafaela: CF +28, SS -8, 2B +1 Duran: CF +5, LF 0, RF 0 The metrics cleary show Duran LF, Rafaela CF & Duran RF is the best, but that 2024 season makes some wonder.

I get that, but once you get a quality bat, it makes sense to fit him in where it best fits the defense. Story>SS (back then), Bogey > 3B & Devers >1B ARod > SS & Jeter to 2B 2025: Devers>1B & Casas >DH

Of course the move was made for the bat, but that doesn't mean the defense should be ignored. I felt thew same about not moving Bogey to 2B, when we go Story, but maybe Story's arm was not ready for SS. Ideally, that would have been the time to move Bogey to 3B and Devers to 1B. That's a way better defense.

I could see Eaton in RF vs LHPs, when Abreu is sitting out. (LF when Duran sits.)

I'd prefer Anthony in RF and Duran in LF, when Abreu sits. I think this is about using Duran in the shorter corner OF slot. But yes, get these guys reps.

It will be interesting to see if they go with Anthony in CF and not Duran, when Rafaela sits. I would. I never bought into the Duran is a good defensive CF'er talk.

Maybe with his weak arm, they'll have him play RF at Yankee stadium and other parks with shorter RFs.

I doubt we get KMarte for Bello & Tolle. Duran & Tolle- yes. They might have taken Mayer & Tolle. I'd have preferred then, especially in light of the Durbin trade.

Duran plus others for KMarte would improve the offense.

There is a good chance all 4 OF'ers are healthy for over 60-75% of the games.
