  1. I’m scratching a different body part, now.
  2. Our staff has allowed 3 ERs in the last 4 days, and we are 2-2.
  3. The starters have done better in 10. They did about the same in 2 games. The pen as done okay to well in 14 games. The starters have done okay to well in 15 games.
  4. "May Day! MAY DAY! Win needed, badly! Pivetta 0-3 8.27 vs Lyles 5.40 (RHP) 1. Story 2. Devers 3. Bogey 4. JD 5. Franchy 1B 6. Kike 7. JBJ 8. Vaz 9. J Davis LF
  5. Yes, advanced analytics is oh for its last 24.
  6. I have always leaned towards Houck as the closer and Whitlock starting, but if Whitlock is on a strict innings count for the season, then I'm not so sure. Of course, since Houck is never allowed to see a batter 3 times in a game, it doesn't help his case to start over Whitlock. Ideally, both would be great in the pen, but we'd need Pivetta to turn things around, and quickly, and Hill to build off is last start or two, and someone from the farm to start for us. I'm not sure anyone is ready, right now. Big Nate seems to be finding his groove, and Wacha has been a very pleasant surprise. Hoping for Sale is not a winning strategy.
  7. Kimmi was talking about the night they gave Bogey off and played Arroyo at SS- not playing Story at SS FT.
  8. Seems like watching the farm might be more enjoyable, for a while, but even they had a rough night. No wins, tonight! Woo lost 9-7 Casas 3-5 Duran 2-4 w BB Downs 1-5, HR Fitzy 2-5 R Hern 1-5, HR Danish was the only pitcher that did well (1.1 IP 0 ER) POR lost 3-2 Groome: 5.2 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 10K The offense had 2 hits. GRE lost 9-1 Nothing good to report. The O had 2 hits. SAL lost 9-4 Miller with a solo blast
  9. This is getting sickening.
  10. I'm all about having the best catcher-pitcher match-up possible.
  11. 1. Story 2. Devers 3. Bogey 4. JD 5. Verdugo 6. Kike 7. Dalbec 8. Plawecki 9. JBJ Except for Plawecki, it's the best offensive line-up I've seen, this season. (Not saying much.)
  12. Yes, but that is still a measure of accomplishment and not really ability. I'm not a big fan of weighting FIP so heavily. There are plenty of proven good pitchers who get people out without high K numbers. They are short-changed in fWAR, IMO.
  13. I guess 4 rings is not good enough "results" for some.
  14. I think it means he thinks a guy who strikes out 7 in 10 times but gets 3 bloop hits is better than a guy who gets 2 hits every 10 times and line out sharply 8 times. Luck counts more than skill.
  15. Maybe, but I doubt one game would stir the pot. Arroyo is clearly better at 2B than SS, and Story is better at SS than Arroyo. I'm not bashing Cora for the choice, but just stated it "was an option."
  16. Hill has pitched very well in most of his recent seasons, and some before that, too. It's all about staying healthy. Maybe t6his will be "the year."
  17. I doubt it. Cordero had 23 Ks in 71 ABs, so there's not much difference, there. Maybe, they think Cordero plays a better 1B, or they just felt like he deserved another chance- maybe his last one.
  18. Mets pitched a no hitter, today with 5 pitchers.
  19. Had it all along! LOL
  20. He's slumping, now.
  21. Bello with a little loss of control. 5.1 IP 3 H 2 ER 4 BB 8 K Winckowski pulled early: 2.2 IP 4H 2 ER 0 BB 3 K Padron-Artilles 5.0 IP 4 H 2 ER 3 BB 4 K Bastardo 4.0 IP 4 H 0 ER 2 BB 5 K Games still in progress
