  1. That ground out by Dalbec got my gut thinking HR next Dalbec AB, maybe the one after. I just hope men are on base.
  2. Kavadas is only 2-3 with no BBS!
  3. Rafaela is 3-3 w HR!
  4. Murphy got shelled. Casas with a dinger!
  5. Agreed. I also think he picks and chooses when he feels the team is 1-2 studs from a ring, and IMO, I don’t think that time is this deadline. I get the frustration over the string possibility the Bogey- Nate- JD window looks to be closing in 2 months, and now look like it could be an all in time, but I don’t see it that way. We are also witnessing one side effect of going all in like 2018. If we went all in now, we may be in this same boat again in 3-5 years, less if we splurge on only 2 month rentals.
  6. When he had those hot streaks, back in the day, he was going oppo field often. He’s lost that “ability.”
  7. Henry has lowered winter spending several times over the last two decades, sometimes for 2-3 year stretches. I’m not doubting your point, but I find no reason to think he won’t splurge again, when he feels the timing is right.
  8. This is accurate, but it sounds like it’s Bloom’s fault Betts left, without some qualifying statement attached.
  9. Buyers and sellers is still an option. Standing pat is the worst choice.
  10. Buyers and sellers is still an option. Standing pat is the worst choice.
  11. I’m no huge Duran fan, but I’m glad we didn’t do that deal.
  12. Yes, so far the Story signing has not looked good. There is time to change that, but only his rbis are semi redeeming. The money spent here created the need to go cheaper in other areas. Bloom had to choose one spot for in-house, and relying on Dalbec to bridge to Casas seemed like the best choice. The RF situation was hurt by the JBJ deal, no doubt. My scalp scans have yet to heal.
  13. True and for 2021, too.
  14. I think Bloom envisioned Wacha, Hill or a prospect to provide a bridge to Sale and Paxton. Bloom did choose to spend less on Hill and Wacha than Richards and Perez, but if you count Paxton, he spent more in 2022. In terms of time, it almost worked, then Sale got hurt, again.
  15. None of us can find reason enough to ever start JBJ, but yes, Cora makes that call.
  16. Bloom also gets heat for not spending what isn’t given to him, or for not nailing 7 all stars on a $40M winter spending budget.
  17. It’s very hard to muster up even a little optimism with this line-up and SPer, but I’m feeling that winning vibe that has been rare, of late. I’m calling a win.
  18. But Cora has started Ref many times v RHPs. It really hasn’t been a real platoon. Besides, the semi platoon is with JBJ not Duran.
  19. Tell me how the Sox “ fire” Henry. Better yet, tell me why.
  20. But some jellyfish live forever!
  21. Even after telling him, he keeps repeating the same nonsense.
