It's been longer than this game. Not even counting today: .453 the previous 16 games. .404 the previous 19 games. .455 the previous 31 games. .605 last 41 games .614 since the second game of the year.

That can all be forgotten, if we can keep playing well. We will not keep up this pace, but I think we now have the confidence that we are as good as anyone else (in the Al.)

It was only a week or so ago that people were saying there were too many teams between us an the WC slots. Now, there is just one between us and the last WC slot. (We need to pass two teams that are 0.5 ahead of us.)

CLE won. CWS won. MIN won. SEA lost to TBR. Pending some later games, the Sox are 0.5 GB SEA and MIN (Tied for last WC slot) and +0.5 on HOU & TOR.

I was really worried about forcing the pen to pitch this game, but they did great. Plus, we didn't have to use Whitlock or Chapman! Bravo!!!
