  1. Maybe, but even if it is, he may or may not accept a trade to us.
  2. He has struggled with mental health issues. Going to LA would be a major cultural shock. I’m not sure he’d accept a deal to BOS.
  3. Or some SPer with a 2-3 value on BTV.
  4. Be careful what you wish for.
  5. Yes, or misses out.
  6. You choose to be confined to specific date ranges.
  7. SPer options are dwindling but some are still out there. My guess is Bloom is working the phones and will make a couple minor moves- maybe one moderate one.
  8. On June 7, 2021 and August 21, 2022, as well as some earlier dates in those years. Also, it’s under 2.00 since May 25th, this year. No need to be hung up on full season numbers.
  9. Can’t believe everything you read. After saying Cease is not on the market, so he is reportedly being shopped. I’d love to see him on the Sox, but I doubt it’s even a long shot
  10. I’d trade Arroyo and keep Reyes
  11. When Story comes back, they will ease him into a FT role. I’d keep Chang to play SS the days Story does not.
  12. I think Bloom agrees with much of this, and we won't see anything major from the Sox, today. I think we trade Duvall. I think we add a marginal SP'er for a prospect or two that are not high on Bloom's list. We will not give up a major future piece for a rental. If a controllable SP'er is available, maybe.... ooops, I'm dreaming, again.
  13. Bad timing on a 3 game losing streak.
  14. We need to demote Jacques, now. Bring up Walter, until the next IL guy is ready. Llovera, too. Maybe we trade for someone that forces a demotion.
  15. BTV Accepted: Arroyo & Bonaci for DeJung and Flaherty Walter, Jordan & Mata for ERod & Lorenzen Houck, Walter, Yorke & Jordan for Keller (2.3 yrs) & Rich Hill Yorke for Snell & Lugo (1.3 yrs) or Walter, Paulino, Perales & Mata for Snell & Lugo (1.3)
  16. Yes, on bereavement leave, and the AS break not too long ago, too. I wonder if the death in his family hit him hard.
  17. Verdugo was at .900 on May 9th (158 PAs) He's hit .686 in his last 254 PAs, not counting tonight. .457 in his last 90 PAs (since June 28th.(
  18. Maybe Cora needs to rest him. He's third on the team in GS and PAs, and Turner is in front of him as a primary DH.
  19. I guess, if you count the last 4 weeks, not 3 days.
  20. Here are the remaining SP'ers from MLBTR's list of top trade candidates: All Rentals, except where noted Lorenzen DET 3.3 Flaherty STL 3.6 ERod DET 5.0 (Opt out) Snell SDP 8.7 S Lugo SDP 5.4 (1.3 yrs) Blackburn OAK 10.3 (2.3 yrs) Verlander NYM -11.0 (1.3 yrs) Stroman CHC 5.8 (OFF the market) R Hill PIT 0.5 Quintana NYM 2.0 (1.3 yrs) Carrasco NYM -2.3 Keller PIT 49.7 (2.3 yrs) BTV accepts Bleis & Houck for him Other possible Sox trade candidates to give for a pitcher listed above (see values): 9.0 Alcantara 8.7 Romero 5.5 Paulino 5.3 Wikelman 4.9 Winckowski 4.1 Walter 3.9 Drohan, Perales 3.6 EValdez 3.3 Jordan 3.2 Mata 2.5 Hickey & Brannon 2.4 Abreu & Cespedes 2.3 DHam & Monegro 2.1 Meidroth & Murphy 2.0 Guerrero & E R-C ~1.8 Castro, Bernardino, Jimenez, Bonaci, McDonough ~1.5 Fernandez, Robertson, Lugo, Bastardo, Refsnyder, Chang, Garcia, Kavadas ~1.1 Cohen, Dean, Paez, Rogers, Hoppe, Stock, Troye, Duvall, Broadway, Chacon
  21. Way off base. (His arm is a bigger issue.)
  22. I've suggested dozens of possibilities accepted on the BTV site. Here were my latest: Snell for Walter & Paulino Stroman for Perales & Hickey (Stroman is not a likely trade candidate as the Cubs are buying, now.) Verlander & $32M for Houck Cease for Houck, Yorke & Rafaela (Cease has 2.3 yrs of control and is likely not available.) Flaherty for Mata & Jimenez
  23. We got 8 in a row. I assume you mean 5 more. I hope it's not 5 decent and 3 bad to finish the year.
  24. No. I said I can't see giving him a grade lower than C or C- for all his moves since 2020. I know many here give him a lower grade or even an F. I'd give him a B- on his ML roster moves, but much is still TBD, namely Story and all the prospects yet to advance to the bigs and guys like Wink with several years left of control. The farm is impossible to grade objectively, but it appears like he has a solid B+ going, right now. Just my opinion.
