but wouldnt you rather have him doing all the things you said signed at less $$?? i know i would. certainly JH would. as for right way... cutting up of a MLB jersey as well as striving for selfish personal goals (300k) in lieu of postseason performance is not "right way" in my book.....

i dont know what this means? i didnt guess at anything so what am i wrong about? the fact is that DD gave Sale a pretty big $$$ extension at the start of this past season. if he had waited until after this season do you believe we could have resigned him for less $$ and/or years? or do you think Chris would have gotten more $$ from another team this offseason? Chris could win the Cy the next 3 years and that would be awesome. but we could have him doing that at a much much less AAV if we waited until after this season to resign him.

"guessing" right is the difference between a GM getting fired or getting extended. DD guessed wrong on sale and that certainly banged another proverbial nail in....

i actually get and am ok with the EO signing as he was a FA. but the Sale extension looks premature. i believe we definitely could have resigned him for less$$ and or years if we waited until after this season.....

this dude is going to be unbearable until the MFY get knocked out of the postseason. JH is tired of paying "tax". wealthy people hate paying "tax". that "tax" is coming directly from his bank account. his young wife does not appreciate her husband paying "tax". all the signs have been pointing to a reset since we first jumped over the LT threshold a few seasons ago. the cliff is real. and i do not blame the owner 1 bit for resetting so he doesnt have to pay "tax" on an enormous payroll. all wealthy people can afford to pay "tax". but will they do everything in their power to avoid paying it? your goddamn right they do. i fail to see why you dont get this concept and continue to bash JH for not wanting to pay "tax"....

hahaha. well played. i will say that i for one am not doing revisionist history. every complaint i have had about DD and his trades/signings is the exact complaint i had the day he was hired and with every subsequent signing/trade he has made. just because he proved me right doesnt mean i am whining. and it seems the owner agrees with me

no they arent. the farm was 100% decimated by DD. it went from a top 2 or 3 to the #30 farm in baseball when he was fired. that is Farm decimated.

exactly. what does SK want JH to do? throw himself under the bus? JH is the owner. when you are top s*** rolls downhill. it doesnt just land at your feet. GM's are hired to be fired and to shoulder the blame. just like managers.
