  1. i'm not a JF basher but i did hate on young. he is obviously changing minds with the way he has been raking the past few games he's played.
  2. oh babe. how long have you been following my trackers? DNP or defensive replacement = LOSS. gotta play in the game to score points. sitting on the bench = losing. this hasnt changed in 3 years. hold tight something headed to Florida for you:
  3. thanks for your input. Since JE bats leadoff he usually gets 1 more AB per game than JBj so there have been and will be plenty of times those stats are reversed. but seeing as your philosophy would be much more detrimental to JE maybe i should switch my entire scoring system. hmmmm. A RS has little to do with the player (especially if he doesn't have a SB in that inning). it has to do with the batters behind you. a BB has more to do with the player and less to do with the batter behind you (especially when the majority of your AB's are in the 9 hole - they aint pitching around you).
  4. come on FJ. we are Sox fans. we were born to panic. i always liked Kelly and have no problem giving him the ball every 5th day. but to me E-Rod was the #2 SP of this team and would be a great presence on a playoff roster. that role IMO will not be filled by Kelly. (or anyone on the staff currently). Anyways, i expected DD to trade for a SP by the deadline even before this news broke so i definitely think something gets done now.....
  5. they both get a point for a hit. JBj gets another point for the BB. JE gets another point for the RS. 2 points each. Tie.
  6. his blog (38 pitches) was amazing during his pitching days. he would give behind the scenes look, break down games, batters, strategies, thought processes. it was fabulous reading. and that was years ago. i wonder if any other pitchers are doing something similar? you can read the archives of them on his blog site.
  7. GAME 39 - JE JBj: 1-2 / 2BB / RBI / E JE: 3-3 / 2BB / RBI / 2RS Score: JBj: 23 JE: 10 Tie: 6
  8. what facts did i makeup? that he was still wealthy when 38studios went bankrupt? have you ever seen his mansion in PA? 90% of this countries population could live their entire lives with the proceeds from the sale of that place. Does he still own Drew Bledsoe's mansion in Medford?
  9. post #13 of this thread......
  10. this is terrible news (for us Red Sox fans). get ready to say goodbye to some of our prospects......
  11. absolutely. i never implied he did anything illegal.
  12. no. i'm not moving goalposts. i believe Curt walked away with plenty of money. i did not imply what he did was illegal. people do it all the time. Trump has done it a handful of times and he has plenty of money. the list is long of millionaires that have bilked the system. to think that #38 waited until he was completely busted financially before jumping ship with a parachute needs no "link" to know what is true. i do find it ironic that #38 whines incessantly at liberal, left wing politics but had no problem using "big gov't" to help finance his disastrous enterprise. dont you?
  13. i'm pretty sure the point of a "forum" is to speculate / give opinions. my opinion is that #38 is not broke. my opinion is that #38 filed for bankruptcy whilst still having millions of dollars of assets. you are free to assume otherwise. or i could "demand" you send me a link that he didn't file for bankruptcy with millions of dollars in personal assets. http://deadspin.com/various-lowlights-from-curt-schillings-failed-38-studio-1732879364
  14. Holt is 100% expendable once Papi retires. until then, there is no reason to trade him. he wouldnt be a centerpiece of any deal netting us a quality starter. we dont need to use him as a "throw in" until Papi is gone.
  15. exactly. plus we have a ton of prospects that can net us what we want/need without throwing in our super utility man.
  16. Hey Lefty. you know my philosophy has always been pitching = parades. the fact that we have so many position players "blocked" in minors is evidence that we can "afford" to trade position for pitching. DD will trade for 1 (maybe 2) SP before the deadline.
  17. that just means we get to score 10 tonight but 20 tomorrow. WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
  18. you dont really think Curt is broke, now do you? yes, he lost millions but he def had a golden parachute that the citizens of Rhode Island were not afforded.
  19. he 100% has the right to free speech. and 50% of the citizens of this nation have the right to agree with him politically. and 50% of the citizens have the right to disagree with him. and his employer has 100% right to fire him. you, me, and everyone that is lucky to live in our country have the right to free speech. but to think there are no consequences for exercising that right is being naive.
  20. politics are so divisive in 2016 that if you are an athlete (or ex athlete) and make political statements it will pizz off 50% of the USA population. no matter what stance you take or what you say you are going to make 50% mad. This is no secret. by continuing to speak and post his political agenda on social media platforms Curt was inviting the consequences.
  21. 2017: 3b: panda/shaw 1b: shaw/HanRam DH: HanRam/Shaw 2018: 3b: Moncada 1b: Shaw/HanRam DH: HanRam/Shaw
  22. HanRam will get the bulk of the DH ab's next year. how is moncada's arm strength from 3b?
