  3. Me? i would either get bonafide TOTR starter or hold on to him. but i get it...the pickings are slim and the costs are extremely high. but as Moon pointed out...with a bit of foresight we could have had Pom for far, far less this past offseason..... that being said....if Pom helps us get a parade this year then i dont care if Espy goes on to win 4 CY's. it was worth the trade. (my same exact thoughts on the 2013 trade).
  4. This was my reaction to this trade.
  5. Super fair post.
  6. Agree SnC. If they are available they are going to demand an awfully painful haul...but I am hopeful that if the cost is too much for a 1 that we can find a solid 2 to add. I am optimistic that the 2nd half we will get the Price we expect which means we already have our shutdown ace. But even Pedro needed a schilling to finally get us to the promised land....
  7. This post. 1 million percent.
  8. Pettitte's Doctor email address?

  13. Andy Pettitte's Doctor. Do you have contact info? Thanks!
  14. Maybe he can visit pettitte's Doctor to come back quicker??
  15. Come on. Really? Show me one post on any thread on this forum where any of the posters that are pointing out prices struggles have said that the Red Sox should dfa him. I don't even recall a post saying the sox shouldn't have signed the best available SP this past offseason.
  16. There are many that never ever considered Lester an "ace"...including our front office that offered him #3/4 starter money. And the peripherals are fun and all but the only stat I care about from my SP is era.... But if he keeps on pitching like his last start I agree with you the bad first half will be forgiven.
  17. 3 or 4 bad outings is what you expect from you 3 or 4 starter. Not your ace. I count 6. 5ip / 5er 3.2 / 8 7. / 6 4.2. / 6 2.1 / 6 6.1 / 4
  18. Stanton is a beast. I still wish we had found away.....
  19. So we agree. I said it's not a no brainer to pick up the next option.
  20. It's just a bit disconcerting how he has pitched thus far in year 1 of a 7 year contract. I think we all expected him to pitch most games like he did the last one. Instead it seems he has pitched too many games the first half as if he was pitching in the postseason....,
  21. What do you call a starter with a 4.3 ERA? A #1?
  22. I'm at the jersey shore this week. It's funny watching the groups of teenagers stumbling around in circles heads in their cell phones trying to get Pokemon
  23. Which is exactly why some of us posters think picking up the 2017 option is not a no brainer.....
  24. Not really. I see you out of the blue taking a shot at me from a thread I started months ago showing how poorly our ace was pitching for us at that time. 2 months later after he had an ace like start against a .350 winning ball club you find it neccessaty to take a jab at me. That's weak sauce and I will call a poster out on it. Every time. So there's that...
