    completely unacceptable from an "Ace". 1 of the many reasons i preferred going after Cueto over Price this past offseason.

    im not bummed we didnt sign someone else instead of him. we won the WS that year. plus he had 13 hits in the 2007 post season so it's not like he didnt pitch in.....

    plus he was the last out in our attempted comeback game 3 with winning run on base. not so clutch.

    and we won the WS in 2013. i'll trade anyone if it ends up in a parade. im perfectly happy with iglesias in detroit and xander playing SS in boston. iglesias had a yuuuge dropped popup in that 2013 ALCS. he is hitting better than all of us thought.

    this may come as a surprise but im not really a David Price fan. i hated the signing. i wanted Cueto for less years and less $$$$. my feelings for Price are the same as my feelings for Lackey were. the slight difference is Lackey shows up his fielders and Price doesnt show up for big games...

    i was thinking of starting a new thread on this topic but suppose it should go here. what does everyone predict for David Price 2017? im going with: shelled in April followed by elbow surgery out for the rest of the year. i dont suppose it's in the contract that the player controlled year 3 opt out turns into a team controlled opt out if significant arm injury????

    sorry. im not blaming Farrel at all. and i agree 100% that the Guardians won it. give credit where credit is due. shoot...we couldnt even force them to have to play their 162 game on that monday. gave them an extra day off. wonder what might have changed if we forced them to actually have to play that game? anywho, i blame David Ortiz Farewell Tour for us stumbling the final week.

    no doubt. dudes finger is gushing like a geiser in the first inning and they get 9 innings of Ace like pitching from their relievers. on the road. very impressive. tito v theo in the world series. softlaw's nightmare.

    quantify "monstrous". if game 1 is at fenway we win it. no way to prove or disprove that. if game 2 is at fenway we win it. no way to prove or disprove it. i like our chances up 2-0 heading to cleveland for 2.

    for the record...i believe 100% we can win the division again with our rotation as is. Price Porc Erod Pom Pom Wright Clay but no way in h-e-double hockey sticks we win the tournament without picking up 2.

    we need 2 obtain 2 TOTR guys if we want a parade. how many times does Price have to prove that he cannot pitch in October? fool me 15 times.....isnt how the saying goes......

    im just being stupid. as kimmie schooled me earlier this really wasnt a thing. but i spent alot of energy 2014 season crucifying the NYY for the derek jeter tour and how that distracted them from making the playoffs. so while it is probably 99.9% true that it had no bearing on the final week of the season...i still hold out that 0.01% chance that it cost us HFA....

    a yankees fan POV. John Henry will 100% reset the LT rate by not going over the threshold this season. book it. we are the Red Sox not the Yankee$$$$.

    the first and second week of september wasnt nearly as emotional. if you guys didnt see the difference the last week of the season for yourselves nothing i will type here will change your mind. the media coverage, the commercials, the instagram/social media postings, the ceremonies, the patches on the jerseys, the interviews, the hour long specials.
