Imagine that was the same with every other job. Actors would be great one movie, then couldn't act well the next few months. Or news anchors, or sushi chefs.... It's just so odd to be doing something so well, then just to lose the ability.

I don't think he was blocking the plate on the play. I could be wrong. He seemed infront of the plate and JBJ tried to slide around the tag, that had no ball in the glove.

I still am wondering how this happened. I get that Sale is putting up incredible numbers. And Pom has been incredible this year. But about a month ago I really couldn't tell you who are 4th and 5th pitcher was. We went about a month of who the heck knows what our rotation would be. And some of them would show up and get bombed. But I guess over all they did well. We may have to chalk up our season to Fister, Valazquez and Johnson pulling though just enough times to keep us in a good position..... Oh..... and the bullpen....... definetely the bullpen...

I'm with going with the 7th and 8th and 9th inning pitcher until the formula breaks down. I'd even throw the 6th inning in there. I can't stand that we have bought into the 9th inning guy needs to be the best pitcher. Not when the game is going to be lost earlier in the game. Our bullpen should be managed, and not set to autopilot. We've brought this up before, but heard that the 9th is the highest leveraged inning and such. I call phooee..... we have a bunch of good releivers and they should be used at the best situation........ not when they are supposed to be in due to the formula. All I was thinking yesterday is, please get two out and finally bring in Kimbrel, just get two out...... it shouldn't be that way...

Let me get this straight. People now want to use the closer in earlier innings because that inning might be more important than the 9th????? I thought that was crazy talk each other time it was brought up the last couple of years....
