    I get that. But, if you telegraph by stepping out you look at every first pitch the first two times you see a pitcher, then from video they know to throw a strike. Maybe swing at an occasional strike, then at least act like you are ready to hit the first pitch instead of stepping out, that next pitcher might now just groove the first couple of pitches. You can judge velocity just as well by standing in the box the same way you would do if you were possibly going to swing. Maybe it's nothing, but it kind of bugs me.

    One thing I hate, and Pedroia does this the most. Is they back out of the box when the first pitch is thrown. Or they look like they are just taking a pitch. You do that enough, and it's a sure signal to grove the first pitch to a player. At least look like you are going to swing if you watch one, it doesn't signal that you always take the first pitch.

    At the beginning of the year I think Buchholtz will pull it together and do ok this year..... and he ends up sucking in April so bad I think he is washed up. Be the end of April I think Buchholtz will be the next to be removed from the rotation........ and he ends up being our best pitcher in May. Who knows for June...?...

    I come up with a new excuse why we can't hit a pitcher before the games.....and I now think we will lose a game more than we will win. This pitcher is lefty, oh this pitcher is doing well, this pitcher is new, this guys bad and we only beat good pitchers.....sometimes...... are just some of the excuses...... Where's the Funk??
