    We have many controllable AAA and AA prospects. They are looking at young controllable pitchers........ maybe not Gray......... but the FO is saying that is who they are trying to get............ how else are you going to get them without unloading some or major prospect talent........ the here is now........ or another last place finish.....

    We haven't seen enough of Owens, or E-Rod for that matter. Owens is projected as a 3 in the rotation. He is a trade chip for an Ace.............. Like Gray...... You can also afford to pay Buch 9 million to sit on the bench.......... so his spot is open. And Porcello......... hmmmmm........... . if he continues to be really bad............ then you might have to do something drastic with him....

    Yea....... just saw the box score and found out who won..... Damn.......... looked like a close game.......... I'd still rather see this team win more than loose. . ..

    So before the AAA game, they had a AAA Hall of Fame ceremony. ? ? ? ? Seriously.......... sort of....... Some guys got up and spoke a bit about semi-sort of great times that happened in AAA...... and some of them had some pretty cool stories... Then the guy that was being inducted into the AAA HOF...... got up and made a speech.......... I think this guy at best only played a handful of games in the MLB...... This guy was funny as hell......... mid way through the speech he started going on about how hot his wife was........... and she is a tall blond bomb shell............. You can't miss her because he's gesturing to her sitting in the HOF family area.......... she's Dallas Cheer leader type....... And he goes on about how it's true that when you get into MLB you get a smoking hot wife.......... and how he's so thankful she worked and they met at the Round Rock stadium.......... . . . . . Best acceptance speech I've ever heard.....

    At this point I'd hold a mega block party if we make it to 500. ball. I went to see a Round Rock Express game. They are the AAA for the Rangers.......... They played the AAA of the Cardinals...... I think they said those two are fighting for 1st place in their division. It was pretty fun ball......... Chi Chi Rodriguez started for the Rangers...... Sat with some guys that go to every home game.......... they follow the AAA team every year............ They hated to lose the two AAA pitchers they gave up for Hamels............ but in general kind of liked the Hamels deal. Especially interested in seeing how the next three years go......

    Isn't the only real strategy to get good players at every position? Then when you can't do that, you say something like "our strategy is a powerful offense that will overcome our mediocre pitching".

    I'm being general. I don't think tearing down the team and restarting is the way they will go or the way they should go. When I say every piece is a trading chip, the FO should be and probably is looking at every possible angle to make the team stronger. If that means Taz can be traded to get something better, then it should be done. I'm sure the FO is looking every possible angle. If Taz could help bring in a high end starter, you have to entertain that thought. I don't like getting into specifics of who I think is going to be traded. We will never know what happens at the negotiation table, we only know the outcome. There are some positions I think could be upgraded and I hope our FO can figure out how to upgrade, but in those negotiations I think every piece we have should be a possible trading chip. Otherwise you aren't playing with your full hand.

    If this FO isn't dealing every piece we have to get better pieces.......... then they truly should go.............

    I'd hate to see Taz go.......... I hope we get one of these Japanese guys to retire with the Sox............. Taz is just solid.......... I hope he retires with the Sox....... middle relievers never get credit......... even when they lock s*** down night after night..........
