  1. You do yourself no favours by outright lying when giving an opinion on a player.
  2. Don't bite Kimmi
  3. Weird double post there... Have a picture of a smilie smiling.
  4. If he fails the medical, it will be mere minutes until the conspiracy theories about us 'knowing we wouldn't really sign him and did it just appease the fans' start pouring on to the comment sections of every forum and article relating to the Red Sox in North America. Quite possibly started by Natic to NC.
  5. My missus has just landed a job with the UN so moving to New York in a month or so. I'm sure it'll be fun being surrounded by Yankee fans... Will mean I can finally start getting to more games, however.
  6. Me too. Really can't wait to see what he can do with this team.
  7. What is this s*** ffs?
  8. I really feel DD has played this off-season to perfection. He's brought in Moreland to keep down Hanley's at bats. Brought back a lightening rod of a player for us last year, for next to nothing. And brought in the power we needed for a much lower price than expected. All this while not losing a single prospect or needing to trade one of our starters. And in an atmosphere of people losing those minds over perceived inaction. Great off season so far.
  9. I know right? Who knew? At the very least people will stop bumping their gums about Dave not doing his job or being too patient and yada yada. Fantastic signing at a very solid price. To go along with Nunez and Moreland stopping Haney getting his option, this is a good off season so far.
  10. Oh that's interesting. Clearly both parties wanted it. Makes me even happier with the deal.
  11. That would be an awful deal for us.
  12. $4m a year for Nunez is extremely good business.
  13. Self-awareness has never been your strongest suit.
  14. On the blame game...I always felt the coaches and management were slightly amateurish. This is conjecture on my part, but I never had much faith in the coaching staff. Chili Davis in particular was a coach I had very little time for. The hitters regressed massively. Carl Willis, another I wasn't fussed on. You had Pedroia helping the batters and pitchers who were on rough patches. I just don't think they were the most organised bunch and maybe wasted some of the talent we had on our books somewhat.
  15. That's insane!
  16. I personally think they wanted to see what was happening with Martinez, first, but have now just got to the point where they need to make their moves to get the club ready for ST. Martinez could still well end up here. I'm just beyond caring anymore at this point to be honest. I hope Nunez has a rigorous medical.
  17. Because they didn't need to rush the decision? Nunez back would be a great pick up.
  18. So in due time, we could look back at his off season work to date as: commendably patient and restrained.
  19. Because he's a professional and will want to get his client the best possible deal, maybe? Of course he will try to get the Sox to give more money!
  20. If take LoMo or go for a risky roll of the dice on Duda. I'd also bring back Nunez.
  21. I hope we sign somebody on a cheaper deal that has shown consistent power. Then make a run for one of the big boys up for grabs next year.
  22. By definition, any time you try to guess what is going to happen in the future, it's a guess. Even with data to draw your conclusions on. If we didn't have to guess we'd all be very rich.
  23. Certainly feels that way. There's zero choice he takes a 1 year contract somewhere else, though. Unless him and Boras collectively lose their minds.
  24. LOVE that.
  25. Quite literally the worst argument I've ever seen put forward in an article. Absolute drivel.
