  1. such a great bunter .... I am not seeing it
  2. They call him the 'Kid' I like it.
  3. Jeter will be back .... mark my words.
  4. Yeah the fight began over the last cheeseburger at a family outing.
  5. Actually what is really going to slow this game down is the 9 runs that the Sox are going to post on the scoreboard on 6 different Tiger Pitchers.
  6. Maybe you are right. If Drew can get a multi-year deal he will go for it and decline a QO from Boston. I doubt it will be the Yankees however, Jeter is not going to retire without his farewell tour.
  7. He should be.
  8. I have yet to see either one of them do anything special and that is why they are in left to begin with
  9. You mention that OBP and BA does not distinguish between 2 types of outs ... between a sac fly and K but you are wrong about that. A sac fly is not counted as an AB so it does not go against a players BA or OBP
  10. The reporter got an interview with Farrell to discuss Middlebrooks ... when is the last time you spoke with the Sox manager?
  11. IMO the Sox will not make a QO to Drew ... they are not going to fork over $14M for a back-up should Drew accept it. Also the Sox will not be doing Drew any favors by offering a QO as it will make him less attractive to sign. Are there many teams that will want to pay drew 39m / 3 type of money and give up a top draft pick?
  12. Take your lol and shove it up your ass. Jung for a long time was saying that Middlebrooks is chasing breaking balls off the plate ... low and outside ... Farrell confirmed this in this particular article.
  13. MVP ... I respectfully disagree with your premise that Nava does not catch that ball against the wall. You do realize that Gomes broke in on that ball before he went back for it and that's what made it a more difficult play to begin with.
  14. True that UN true that.
  15. By using stats from the 2013 regular season Nava against right handed pitchers had an OPS of .895. Gomes against RHP OPS was .745. Nava +20% over Gomes for OPS. Just saying. Nava cannot seem to get a break. Don't get me wrong I also like Gomes but I like him much better over Nava against a lefty.
  16. Jung ... I think that you have a love hate relationship with Middlebrooks. One day you defend him the next day you rightfully observe that he cannot layoff breaking balls off the plate. Here is a great article: http://bleacherreport.com/tb/dbwNR?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=boston-red-sox
  17. This morning on D & C someone said that the Sox win more with Gomes than with Nava. Is there any truth to this claim and does it make any sense. I like both players but I admit that I have a little bit of a mancrush on Nava.
  18. White Sox did alright with Thomas and Konerko and now Abreu ... I wanted him.
  19. doubtful ... but maybe the Rolaids Relief Pitcher of the year.
  20. I like the confidence my man .... keep the joy flowing! Sox are the best!
  21. Drew will not be back next year. Napoli probably. Ellsbury maybe. Salty maybe.
