  1. Every time the Yankees win, an angel has it's ribs made in to wings.
  2. http://espn.go.com/new-york/mlb/story/_/id/8894904/new-york-yankees-attempting-void-alex-rodriguez-contract-according-sources
  3. Well, this is weird.
  4. And if there was one thing A-Rod loved more than himself, it would be money.
  5. David Murphy is the big winner! Always liked him.
  6. Well, maybe Mo will blow another save. He's looked shaky lately.
  7. Houston's pulled within one run of Baltimore. Rays still losing big.
  8. The BABIP gods favor the Yankees tonight.
  9. The Yankees don't lose games when they have late leads.
  10. I pointed this out in a previous game thread. But over the last decade, Cano has the second worst "clutch" rating in major league baseball. It's a stat from fangraphs that measures how players perform in high leverage situations.
  11. Cano comes in to a bases loaded situation against Nick Hagadone (7.20 ERA) and quickly grounds in to a double play to end the inning. His reign as the least clutch player in baseball continues!
  12. He started the season as the #3, but his numbers are the fourth best on the staff by a considerable margin.
  13. Very good sign from Dempster. A 4.39 ERA (3.84 xFIP) is very respectable for a #4/#5 starter.
  14. I'm more worried about the Rays.
  15. Enjoy it while you can, they're peaking!
  16. 5/5/99, Cubs/Rockies. It's never been done in the AL.
  17. Tampa Bay's losing, we're winning. It's a good night.
  18. I think it would cheapen the World Series a lot more if one of these guys went on a tear in the playoffs and their team won and then later it came out that they were juiced.
  19. Cano is probably the most likely player not named yet. He had multiple teammates who were getting drugs from Biogenesis and his close friend Melky Cabrera was as well. Plus, the head of his charity was listed in documents as a client. Iglesias wouldn't surprise me, he worked out with A-Rod and I believe he lives in Miami.
  20. Sounds like Bosch is going to name the players this week, and suspensions will likely come within the next two weeks. There are written records of the players these drugs were going to, phone records, receipts. It sounds like there are two Biogenesis employees and a player agent involved. These 22 players are probably only the tip of the iceberg.
  21. 50-100 games. And if any players distributed these drugs to another player, it would be 80-150 games.
  22. Two minutes ago, you didn't think players could be suspended without a positive test. I couldn't care less if you don't think players who had proxies purchase their drugs have anything to worry about.
  23. Don't forget Cervelli! Is this in the Yankees forum? This should really be in the Yankees forum.
