Seattle, the Yankmees, and the Flops are all likely wild cards. It would take Texas, KC, or Cleveland to get very hot to beat us to the WC. Could happen given the history of this team choking but I think it’s unlikely.

It wouldn’t surprise me at all if they choked away the playoffs. Someone wrote that this team is different, that they aren’t like the teams that have flopped. That remains to be seen. I can see the resemblance for sure.

Basically Story gave the game away early. He doesn’t do that often but he did tonight. I called it when the DBacks had runners on 2nd and 3rd and I wrote “winning run on 2B”. And that’s exactly what happened. We never got a second run

The fact is that even before Anthony and Abreu went down these bums didn’t have enough offense to compete with even decent teams. Now they are totally overmatched.

It would take a monumental flop for them not to make the playoffs-not that they haven't done that many times before and are perfectly capable of doing it again, I am not expecting it. I think they will get in but getting through the first round or two could be a challenge. They simply aren't that good-but other than the Jays no one is.

I’d estimate their chances of making the playoffs at around 90%. Same odds at being bounced in the first round.
