  1. We lose this and we are three games from falling out of the playoffs behind Texas which is winning tonight. These Flops are perfectly capable of choking as they have so many times in the past
  2. Another game on AppleTV but not on MLB. Getting ripped off paying for MLB.
  3. We needed quality players. We got a loser SP, a guy with a sub .230 BA before he got here and a low leverage RP. He failed. He admitted he failed. It’s widely known he failed.
  4. The old adage “you can never have enough pitching” pertains here. Who is our #5 SP? Tolle? Early? Fact is if Breslow had done his job he would have successfully obtained a #2 SP every pitcher down the line gets moved down. That greatly improves the staff. There were also other needs that weren’t met. The bottom line is that for whatever reason he FAILED.
  5. Max either doesn’t understand English sometimes or he deliberately misquotes other posters to support his misguided positions. Not sure which it is.
  6. No, I said Breslow failed to do his job at the TD. Try reading what I wrote. And he did fail-by his own admission. It was widely acknowledged that he failed at the time. Nothing has changed.
  7. Ahem. I didn't say the pitching WAS dominant. I said it COULD HAVE BEEN dominant had Breslow done his job.
  8. I didn't say the pitching has failed. I said it could have been better. May has an ERA of over 5 and has been put on the IL because he stinks. Our pitching could have been dominant if Breslow did his job.
  9. The Red Sox as of today are 3rd in ERA in the AL, 2nd in BA, 4th in OPS, and 2nd in runs scored. They are well positioned to make a run of it despite all the injuries. Had Breslow done his job we might even be the favorites to make it to the WS. As of now there is no clear AL favorite.
  10. The BOTTOM LINE is that everyone knew the needs of the team. It was no secret. And Breslow failed to obtain a good #2 SP, an offensive weapon, preferably at 1B, a backup catcher, or any proven quality RPs. He gave us M&Ms instead. This did not help our chances for a deep run in Oct. at all. And that is his job.
  11. I don’t care about Seattle. I only care that the Red Sox GM failed at the deadline. He even admitted he was disappointed that he didn’t do more, reeling off a litany of excuses for his failure.
  12. This season would have been even more interesting if we had remained even a little more healthy or if Breslow had done his job at the TD.
  13. I was watching the game at that point. Got the As feed. Were you?
  14. They were well outside the zone. That’s no exaggeration.
  15. We got rid of a selfish malcontent and his entire remaining salary. That’s enough for me as long as Henry spends the money on talent.
  16. He stinks offensively Whats worse, he looks bad doing it Is Romy out? I have the As feed and they said that
  17. Rafaela Ks on two pitches a FOOT outside. He is just awful with a bat. He needs to sit.
  18. They dumped Devers because he was a selfish malcontent. They were lucky to get a bag of golf ball for him and his $250m salary, Good riddance
  19. He makes a lot of money and he’s on the roster. No one will take him. So he’s playing even though he stinks. At least he has SOME recognition of the strike zone.
