  1. Fortunately the Yankmee pen stinks. Still in it…
  2. These guys aren’t just striking out. They are striking out on balls way out of the zone. Pathetic.
  3. Crochet is pitching his ass off. We have nothing but a pathetic offense to support him. Gotta significantly improve that next year
  4. So happy Bregman is all ours for two more long years NOT
  5. Lack of making contact is a priority to correct next year. They need a new hitting coach.
  6. Watching Story K on balls outside or in the dirt is getting really old
  7. This year just getting into the playoffs was good enough for me. Next year it won't be good enough. We should be all in next year (in fact we should have been all in THIS year) and be competing for a ring. I would at least like to beat the Yankmees but its going to be difficult with Gio out.
  8. I couldn't be happier that you enjoy reading them so much!
  9. To play the Yankmees? Not sure who they play at #6 but I am sure it’s a best of three with all the games away.
  10. Leave the predictions to me. If you want accuracy.
  11. They could have bolstered the offense if our GM hadn’t whiffed at the TD.
  12. It’s a meaningless game. I doubt the team is highly motivated.
  13. Are you falsely claiming that improving the team at the deadline is NOT one of the jobs of the GM?
  14. Ryan or Naylor should have been targets. Naylor with Seattle has an OPS+ of 138. I haven’t checked but I bet that’s better than anyone we now have. As I said, I’d have only fired Breslow if the Sox didn’t make the playoffs. Obviously they did. But he still did a s*** job at the TD.
  15. As of today our pitching ranks 3rd in ERA, just .02 from 2nd place Cleveland. This might have been a good year for Breslow to go all in at the TD instead of again dipping his feet into the water.
  16. No, but JBJ would have had it….joking. It did look like the ball wasn’t totally uncatchable. It seemed to miss the glove due to a poorly timed leap. But it was hard to tell from the replays.
  17. Rafaela is never going to have acceptable plate discipline. At least he’s gone from horrific to just bad. He is letting more bad pitches go by and making better contact as evidenced by his slowly improving OPS.
  18. It’s hard to deny that he has improved. You can see it when you see the pitches he doesn’t swing at as often. I didn’t think he could improve but he has. Hopefully he can continue to get better offensively.
  19. “I will believe Cora has made a mistake the moment you declare a bad move before anything happens” Ummm….i usually do just that. I state here that I think a pitcher should be removed or allowed to continue or if a runner on first should be trying to steal or if a player should be PH for-all before the play. Regardless of the result I state what I think the best move is. Sometimes the best move doesn’t work out but that doesn’t mean it’s not the best move. As for moving Rafaela to 6th it was pure luck that he was up in that situation. I don’t give Cora credit for knowing it would happen like that- but I do give Rafaela credit for his game winning hit. I didn’t watch the game so I don’t know about how the pen was managed but we won so I assume he managed it correctly. That doesn’t make him a great manager. Last I checked our pitching was 4th or so in the AL in ERA. Past teams were even better- but our pitching is good, better than our offense.
