  1. Better than who? We aren't better than the Rays, the Yankees, the Orioles, the Jays, the Nats, or the Marlins. All those teams have better records than the Flops. We are better than the Cubs so I expect a win in Chicago.
  2. Mighty Mouth complaining about balls and strikes after today's loss: "Yeah, it's pretty disappointing," Pedroia said of the umpires after Sunday's loss. "We're trying to compete, everyone is, both teams, and you don't want them to come into play and stuff like that. It's hard enough playing the game against good pitching and good players. So it's pretty disappointing." He really should shut up and perform. Gonzobum isn't doing anything to help the team, but at least he keeps his mouth shut.
  3. Well thats just great to hear. I am sooooo happy for Gonzobum that he hit well in San Diego and hit a bit here last year too. Wonder how he would perform if his paychecks were dependent on his OPS. Bet he would contribute a bit more. Checked the scores: winners include the Yankees, Rays, Orioles, and Jays. Loser Bums: Red Flops. The team sucks. It has no intestinal fortitude and they are playing like they don't give a damn about it. We are not catching the Rays this year, and the Yankees are getting out of reach as well. These losers deserve to be in last place for a long long time.
  4. OK...thats it. I am outta here. This team is disgusting.
  5. This guy is hitting .225. Gotta get him out right?
  6. Need another K here. Watch for the squeeze here...
  7. Winning run on second base now.
  8. Better get someone up in the pen immediately. Winning run on first base.
  9. And the Jays are now leading too. Its going to be tough to catch all these guys. There are no patsies in the ALE this year.
  10. Didn't Sweeney win some sort of competition for best athlete on the team before the season began? I sort of remember something like that.
  11. Of the USA? =United Stiffs of America?
  12. Come on Gonzalez. Earn your money
  13. Wonder what the ERA was league-wide over that time period. Are you using BBR to find this stuff?
  14. Looks like Zimmermann is getting the outside calls and Lester is not. Some consistency would sure be nice.
  15. O's, Yankees, and Jays all losing. Rays up 4-0. Lester has to hold these guys down now.
  16. That last pitch to Sweeney was six inches outside
  17. It was the war paint
  18. No way we lose this game now. Orsillo has donned his war paint.
  19. Missed it. Damn MLB.COM
  20. We should score more runs after our injured guys get back once they work their way back into shape IF no one else gets injured and we should win more games IF none of our pitchers becomes injured and they all maintain current performance or better. Lots of variables here. Its hard to predict what kind of ball we will be playing in a month or so-for any of us. So I prefer to look at where we are now and hope for the best for the future.
  21. Lester is going to have to get out of the habit of surrendering runs immediately after his team scores a run or more.
  22. Good analysis. Gotta admit that. Seems that when the pitching is on target, the hitting is off. Bottom line: we are five out and in last place for whatever the reason is. As I said, I never said the season is over, I said that right now they are playing mediocre baseball. If they can put it all together they could compete for the playoffs; if they cannot maintain the pitching, especially the starting pitching, they will continue to flounder.
  23. Now Podsednik has to run, right?
