  1. They are now 11th in OPS in the AL; they average 4.73 RPG, good for 7th. And these bums rank DEAD LAST in HR in the league. DD made a mistake ignoring the offense at the deadline. This is his fault.
  2. There is no more time. He needs to get a phantom injury and Johnson has to be given a chance to start. No more time....
  3. I think its time to sit Porcello and give someone else a chance in his spot-Brian Johnson comes to mind. Might not be any better, but Porcello has been pretty consistently bad.
  4. The manager is responsible for making sure his players are awake and focused out there. With a better manager half of those mental mistake would not have been committed.
  5. Devers is at .900. But I agree with you. Not enough offense to make a deep playoff run.
  6. I think its time to think about sitting Boegarts so Nunez can play every night.
  7. LOL...Moon, you have always been a Brentz fan....NOT!
  8. This ^^ I think we are not being told the truth about JBJs injury, not that we deserve to be told the truth. Initially I thought that this was a poor acquisition, but Davis is hitting over .300 for about the past five weeks with an OPS of over .800. If he can stay hot he can help the team.
  9. Beat you to it.
  10. Interestingly, Barnes only blows on the road. His OPSa at home is .504. Maybe he should only be used for home games.
  11. Prophetic, Ex.
  12. Why is Bogaerts still playing? He is useless.
  13. Why not also move Vaz up in the order for home games? I think he leads the league in BA or close to it for home games.
  14. Devers is something else....CRUSHED!
  15. How much of that execution failure belongs to the manager?
  16. I'd like to see him get more hits period. He is at .255/.754 with a WAR of only 2.5 for the year. He has the talent to do better.
  17. He was grabbing his back.
  18. Not sure if you guys saw this. Price didn't throw again today, for the third day in a row, because of ongoing stiffness in his elbow: Jason Mastrodonato ✔ @jmastrodonato Farrell is "hopeful but realistic" about Price coming back this season. Make what you will of that.
  19. Do four straight wins against the Mets count?
  20. He has had 68 PAs. Early results are good, but it would be very unusual for a rookie to essentially jump from AA ball on one season and maintain the kind of results Devers has had so far. As someone else here said, its time for the other guys to start producing: Hanley, Bogaerts, JBJ etc.
  21. They are FIRST in the AL in ERA (not by much) and first in SP ERA in the league, second in bullpen ERA. They are THIRD in baseball in ERA overall. Good situation to be in. With the Yankee SP rotation devastated as it is now, it would be an embarrassment not to win the ALE.
  22. At the very least we now know what we have in Reed...and don't have. He should not pitch beyond the sixth inning until he proves he can do the job. And yes, Farrell totally mismanaged the game.
  23. Rusney Castillo is batting .309/.840 in 335 PAs at Pawtucket. He may yet get another chance.
  24. Soon it will be about 80 pages long
