    Yeah, if he "developed" into a .250 hitter what would his slash line look like? .250/.300/.300? He'd have to be putting up +30 UZR numbers to justify putting him in the lineup.

    Who else is out there? Unless we land Abreu, I don't see too many alternatives. Loney? Berkman? Konerko? Not that appealing.

    Ozzie Smith had a few seasons where he was above average with the bat, plus he got on base at a very respectable clip. If Iglesias just develops into a .250 hitter, then he's more like a Rey Ordonez.

    I still think he sucks. My point was that he's hitting over .400 since being recalled. That will probably earn him a longer leash.

    4/68 seems about right for a 33 year old pitcher with his track record.

    Middlebrooks is playing well since his call up. I think that delays Bogaerts arrival until September, so he can play everyday at Pawtucket.

    Yeah, it happened, but can you prove that it had an impact on their performance? From what we know, Red Sox starters drank beer during their off days. Who gives a s***? I don't see how that has any impact on their performance.

    Made his 12th error at Pawtucket, and 20th of his season. He's playing 3B tonight.

    I didn't see he was going to be 33 when he hits free agency. I don't think he'll get five years. I also don't like that his FIP is near 4.00.
