    Rain delays are by far the thing I hate the most about baseball. It's already a long game that is played daily, I wake up at 2 am to watch it, and then the game takes an hour longer because so few parks have a retractable roof.

    I like starters going deep but there is really no reason to risk it here. Buch already shook all the hands and got his confidence injection. The bullpen is fresh and might even need some innings. Thank Buch and let him get some rest.

    CC's skin is the only thing connecting his arm to his shoulder. He looks really sore.

    I can't recall anyone who was seriously suspected to need TJ, didn't have the surgery, and went on to have a productive career. Now is as good of a time as ever to fix all the s*** in his arm. He could possibly DH next year if Ortiz doesn't resign, and if not my guess is he'll be back by the AS break. His power might return to a fraction of what he used to be, maybe he'll even get the ball into the outfield once in a while.

    Braves are said to have interest in Lester. Personally I don't dig this move.

    I wonder if Beckett will come to relief if he is traded tomorrow and either the game isn't close or Buch blows. Would be nice to see him get a last applause.

    That curve was really nice, some 2 to 7 movement, right on the outside edge. A lefty who tries to pull can never make contact on that.
