Maybe we'll find out he was hit in the face before and turned into a prick who can't throw, and the new bruise would fix it all. Sort of like in the movies. I say we try, he's on the DL anyway.
I hoped the ump would sober up and understand that if he keeps giving them the outside corners vs. lefties both pitchers would throw shutouts. Apparently not.
Ichiro will bounce back. You'll see. You'll all see.
Last year he hit more LDs then ever. His average really suffered from a fall in infield hit which I attribute to luck since he stole 40 bases. Also his BABIP took a big stumble. I think he'll hit 300 by the end of the year.
Encarnacion is on his way down. Low LD% with inflated HR/FB%. Also he miraculously got 18% IFH%, he already broke his season record in infield hits with 14. And I don't think he'll stay healthy.
The despair of the yankee...
All the other AL Easterns are losing too, a tougher game today because of Felix and the travel but could be a nice chance to get one over the division and move into the wildcard.
I would get if Salty was hitting cleanup in some other game in this series, in Safeco he probably has the best chance to homer in this series for both sides other then Ortiz. But Salty is 4-19 against Felix, only one double and no walks.
Also, I'm sort of hoping for Ichiro to get some hits (As long as he doesn't score or drive anybody in). He is my favorite non-sox player, I don't like seeing him hitting below 300.
