    If ya really want to know what I think, I think predictions like these are stupid and pointless. Betting is a whole different story. Betting is even more stupid, but at least it gets the adrenaline flowing.

    Trout and Judge have higher career OPS+ than Manny but still have years to go. Pujols would have been higher if he retired younger. A few names in the conversation.

    That does seem like a logical move. Not sure how much Verdugo would bring back though, probably have to add a decent prospect or too. As always you have to figure out who you match up with.

    Yeah, it's just the way this team has been. 2 or 3 games out of the playoffs on this date and you still have a realistic chance. 5 or 6 out and you're as good as toast.

    Question for discussion: does "lineup protection" exist? Mookie is so freaking hot that it would be tempting to give him the Barry Bonds Treatment and walk him a lot. But it's a questionable tactic when you have Freeman right behind him with an OPS of .988 (Mookie's is now at 1.009).

    Except Raffy is more of a big Teddy Bear. Manny could be a Teddy Bear, but sometimes turned into a Grizzly Bear.

    There's a selection of baseballs autographed by Jim Rice on the Red Sox MLB Shop web site, and they're pretty reasonably priced compared to some of the others. Nice legible signature, too.

    This is different IMO. His K/BB ratio has been very bad the last couple of months, and that was supposed to be a big part of his game.
