  1. Fred, you don't know jack s*** about me. But i do know something about you: You're not a "scout" as you're pretending to be, and you don't know what you're talking about. Go away. P.S: I play both baseball and softball, although i haven't in some time, and i coached little league, not that what you think matters, but just letting you know.
  2. You're an idiot. His career to this date consists of half-a-season. You can't conclude anything based on a half-a-season's worth of AB's. How about YOU put a sock on it?
  3. And Farrell has already alluded to the fact that he's essentially going to platoon him.
  4. No, he really doesn't. That would be Rubby, who also has the lowest floor.
  5. Fred needs to STFU. There's no way to spin the fact that the team is better with Drew than without him.
  6. Is Fred still harping on the "Bogaerts in unclutch" s***? Really?
  7. Stockton, Jordan, Lebron, Garnett, Shaquille
  8. Sticking with my 5-3 prediction. Johnny Gomes homers and drives in 2.
  9. Another day, another win for the Sox.
  10. I think the point is that of their main FA's, the only one they absolutely did not want back was Salty.
  11. There will always be tinfoil hats, but the less, the better.
  12. Well that's the point. They didn't want Salty back, but wouldn't have minded seeing Drew come back, since he's the one who got the QO.
  13. No matter how many team representatives they have, if the process isn't public, some people will always come up with some wacko conspiracy theories.
  14. With such a thin market at C, i highly doubt that. It was him, Mccann, Ruiz, and ?
  15. No one here has said that the Sox offered Drew a QO because of doubts about XB, so i don't know why you keep sustaining this argument. As i said in a post above, XB's playing time, be it at SS or 3B, was secure no matter what happened with any other player.
  16. That would make more sense if they'd offered Salty one too. Catcher is an even more scarce position than SS. They were comfortable with paying one 14 million were he not to sign, but not the other, even though the odds were on Salty having an easier time signing even with a QO attached.
  17. We need to re-capture some 2013 mojo, and because of it, prediction mojo returns! 5-3 Red Sox with the awakening of Jackie Bradley Jr, who homers and doubles.
  18. But no one could be sure he would produce like 2012, and they had their doubts (as did we).
  19. That's really all there is to it. Drew is an offensive improvement over the garbage WMB was making us put up with, and he's worlds better defensively than XB.
  20. You're swinging at thin air here. With WMB out anyway, they really didn't have much of a choice.
  21. Well that's your opinion, but there were certainly other options, and they clearly had at least some modicum of interest (or at least comfort) with the possibility of Drew coming back in the first place since they offered him a QO and not Salty.
  22. Add Evan Gattis to the injury list, meaning BOTH my catchers are injured. What the f***?
  23. Ben Zobrist, Carlos Santana, Mike Napoli on DL. Yu Darvish about to go to it and Ventura is being held out from his next start. You wanna talk some injuries, Pal?
