  1. Why is this so f***ing hard to understand? Some of these pitchers aren't even working to get pitchers out, just stretching out pitch counts and working on specific pitch locations. It's really not rocket science. This spring: David Price: 4.26 ERA Cole Hamels: 5.17 ERA Jeff Samardzija: 7.79 ERA Let's DFA them, they've sucked in Spring Training!
  2. Doesn't make any sense. If he's not hitting, his value is at an all-time low, so you can't move him because the return wouldn't be good enough. If he's hitting, try selling to the fanbase and team core that you got rid of the heart and soul of this team for no discernible reason. I don't see the logic behind any of this.
  3. Actually, you don't get anything. That's kinda the problem, but nice try.
  4. No seriously, 0-162. Everyone on this team sucks.
  5. We get it. You don't like Buchholz.
  6. I was about to post this. Sign please.
  7. It's what makes him money. The new millenium has brought about the unpleasant ability to turn being a raging douche into profit.
  8. Who wants to play? Let's start this league and draft on Sunday!
  9. Mazz is a massive douche though.
  10. Fred, take notice.
  11. qft.
  12. DFA Him. Fred is downright ridiculous with this crap. Madison Bumgarner is 0-3 with an ERA over 5. Obviously crappy coaching from the Giants.
  13. I still think Bogaerts is going to end up being the better ballplayer of the two, but that's just my opinion.
  14. Case in point.
  15. You're not realisitc about it at all. While you are realistic about the injury chances, your assessment about the actual on-field potential performance for some of these guys is homerism at its highest level. On the flip side, you're discounting the ability of any Red Sox pitcher to be anything other than its worse possible iteration. Stop.
  16. Yet you're all roses about your assessment of the Yankee rotation. Give me a break.
  17. Are you serious with this stuff?
  18. And you know this how?
  19. The 2013 team has a nasty rotation and a lock down pen? You spent all ofseason and season harping on their lack of rotation depth and the injury issues of the BP after Bailey/Hanrahan went down. You are full of s*** with this revisionist stuff. Also, they have way too many arms in the minors to not be able to fill out the BP if they so need. It's what several succesful teams (I am looking straight at Oakland and St. Louis) do without dipping into the FA market.
  20. He wasn't made of glass in 2007. That's what they brought him here for.
  21. They should if they are prepping for starting roles next year, but will not be used as rotation depth this year.
  22. Beckett was in his mid-20's, was still cheap, and had way better stuff than Hamels.
  23. The immortal Wandy Rodriguez is second in MLB in ST ERA with a 0.69 mark, while the sure-fire HOF stud that is Jordan Lyles is 4th in WHIP with an 0.64 mark. Both numbers that will clearly translate into the regular season.
