  1. What you did in the first post was the textbook definition of a comparison. Also, you're making the assumption that JBJ won't become the player everyone expects him to be. It could still happen.
  2. You mean bench floor, but otherwise I agree.
  3. Not reinventing the wheel here.
  4. Dodgers should DFA Kershaw, Pirates should DFA McCutchen!
  5. Fred with overreactions less than 10% into the season? No! Is this real life?
  6. ..and yet you wonder why we think you're paranoid.
  7. JBJ wasn't nearly as well regarded as a prospect as Swihart is. Much of it is positional value. The baseline for production at catcher is way lower than the OF, so you're comparing apples to oranges here.
  8. That's the point. Wild pitcher? Sox don't even need to swing the bat!
  9. Well this thread went to s*** quickly. Lock 'er up.
  10. Gonzales has been super wild for a while. Not a good matchup for him if the Sox lineup stays as patient as it has so far this year.
  11. Uehara didn't even miss a beat.
  12. I laughed out loud at this.
  13. That is the definition of an understatement.
  14. Natinals defense is awesome.....for the Red Sox.
  15. Let's see a couple more of those.....
  16. But....HE STRUCK SOMEONE OUT AND IT ONLY TOOK HIM EIGHT PITCHES.
  17. This is sig-worthy. You are a gentleman, a scholar, and an intellectual of the highest stature, fine sir.
  18. Are you telling me Mujica came in and did not suck? We are winning this game.
  19. Still a pretty good pitcher, which is the point.
  20. Averaging 220 IP per season. That would look pretty goodamned good on the Sox staff right about now.
  21. Yes, R.A Dickey, now with the Blue Jays. He was with the Mets when he won it.
  22. Zink spent like a decade in the system. Wright is a young guy who's essentially a warm body to fill out the roster. You are literally made of hyperbole. "Countless" means so many you can't count them. When you can count to "2" and be done, that's pretty much the opposite.
