    Pedroia took less because he loves the game and wants to help his team in every way possible. This is a quote directly from him after he signed his deal. "What can't I do with $40 million that I could do with $100 million? At some point, you have to stop and say, 'Listen, I'm a regular human being.' Do I need a Bentley? Absolutely not.     I'm quite content with our offense, it's still better than the majority of the league. We need pitching help more than anything though. Until we get a few big arms in the 'pen, we're going to either miss the playoffs or get swept in the 1st round.

    He was still one of the better players in the league when we signed him and had just come off arguably his best year. He'll turn it around when he comes back. He might not be 2010 productive, but I'll take 2006-2009.
