    Well I would not say that necessarily and I have been very critical when the Sox have played truly s***** baseball. They showed us what they can do when they use their heads at the plate for a change but the question in this game will be...can they sustain it...can they play good baseball for a whole game or even most of a game. Last half inning...not so good in our half...but they have still played decent baseball in the field so far for a change.

    Keep it up Sox...It would be interesting to see the outcome of this game if the Sox can avoid playing s***** baseball for a whole game.

    Got to admit ya' got guts BTR. There are still couple of fans floating around. Not to say I am one.

    Way ta' good Pedey. I would ask us to notice the difference when we play decent baseball instead of s***** baseball....Salty makes a good play in the field....Sweeney takes a ball on the outer half to the opposite field and Pedey comes through with RBI's. As bad as the SP has been if they would just not play such s***** baseball they can win some of these games. Buch is not having much of s start so far but we are clearly in this game.

    Good job Salty...wish Buch was not getting so many damn pitches up in the zone.

    Did not come close to touching the plate...not even close. I wish I saw a replay but that might have been a good job by Salty for a change. Could not tell if he knocked the runner off his path to the plate.

    I saw someplace that MLB might no longer allow pitchers to use the fake pick off throw with two runners on play. Might actually do the Sox pitchers s favor outlawing that damn thing

    Been so long since we have blown a game open. We get guys on...potential for a rally and here comes Nava, Ross and FaltySalty.

    Salty missed strike two and that was a great pitch for LH hitters to go yard with.

    Atta boy Pedey....Sweeney at least looked at a few pitches....he seems as insistent on pulling as Agons is in going to left. Wish Sweeney had tried to take that to left. Why not just protect the plate with two strikes Mr Sweeney,

    This would be as good a night as any to start to work the pitch count on opposing pitchers. I would just like to see more smart at bats and see if that gets us anything.

    Man how I hate these two out walks. Maybe every pitcher suffers from them to some extent but it does seem to me that we end up with an inordinate number of them. Our guys seem so relieved to get two outs like the inning is over.

    Well actually now that they have completely exited, it leaves a much "cleaner" ownership picture going forward if JH wants to do something with either the Sox or some other part of Fenway Sports. There has been speculation here that JH does want to do something specifically with the Sox, in the near term.

    Rob Bradford's interview with Beckett is now posted at WEEI.com....just amazing......Beckett may well find that the chorus of boos he heard when V came out to get him last night was nothing compared to what is coming next. The Sox ever mindful of appearances, may not put him on the mound in Boston again....I actually think that is possible at this point. Either that or Beckett is going to end up in a room with upper management and management trying to find a way out of this mess....like most things Red Sox these days....this is just getting worse and worse.
