  1. Pedey's at bat is sort of one of the things I have been complaining about with this team. I know he is trying to tie the game with one swing but there was no way he was going to pull strike 2, just no way. However it was a great pitch to take to right field. Go the other way and bring in two runs off the bases and depend on Ortiz coming up to finish the job. It is not like David Ortiz is some rusty old gate coming to the plate. These guys simply do not play like a team, they don't even think like a team.
  2. Oh for Christs sakes Pedey you can't pull that so either lay off or go to right.
  3. Pestano desperately trying to impress BC and convince him that he is definitely Sox pitching staff material.
  4. Atta boy Salty..way to swing that lumber kid. Why don't ya' do us all a favor and hit yourself in the head with the damned thing!
  5. Keep in mind here folks that the Indian pitchers are likely on instructions to throw strikes and we still can't hit our way out of a paper bag.
  6. God this team just fritters away inning after inning. Nobody gets on in front of Pedey so we end up with a one run blast. Guys get on and suddenly these big shot hitters can't buy a hit except for Pedey or Ortiz.
  7. C'mon Morales...tough enough for this team to come back as it is. Cut this s*** off here please
  8. Do you mean that if a guy gets hit in the shoulder and the ball goes over the wall that counts as a home run?
  9. Lets have more of Yummy De....I mean Jenny Dell
  10. I suspect that particular stat is part of one of the "splits" pumps. I usually look at the batting splits quite a bit but anyplace where that site offers you splits they tend to be worth looking at.
  11. Oh yea...tonight is going to kill that starter ERA even worse than it is. Beckett gave up what, 7 in 2 1/3 or something like that? It is going to be right around 6 as it is I think.
  12. I don't believe a manager is the cure here either. V was not a great hire but he is more like the last straw as opposed to the root of the problem.
  13. I should have mentioned that the starters are a different story...they get to stay in until the game is hopelessly out of reach. With these guys that is usually something around the 3rd inning.
  14. Why can't V leave well enough alone. He seems to empty the pen every night mainly because he can't stand to much of a good thing. He keeps running guys in and then out that are succeedling for the most part until he finds somebody that shits the bed in which case he leaves that guy in to get hammered???? What the f***! I know he does not want to blow a guy out so that he can't use them for a few days but all he is setting himself up for is exhausting the whole bunch of them at the same time. Getting up to get ready to go in and then going in every night is what really burns arms out.
  15. To much focus on the yanks is not going to help this year. Neither team has the pitching in my view. Both will likely end up looking up at the Rays and that might not be all. I thought the Rays could be had this year but the Sox and Yanks have both run into problems that will not likely go away easily I think.
  16. One sliver gets home...two more slivers left on the bases to go with the three left there last inning.
  17. The pen was a matter of getting the closer established and then getting the other pieces in place. While the pen was coming together its problems only served to mask the real issues with this team. 1,2, 3 in the rotation basically suck and the offense is not really that potent. Take those run explosions away and they are not nearly scoring enough for a team with its obvious pitching and defensive deficiencies.
  18. There's a few more "chips" I mean slivers left standing on the bases. What a sorry bunch.
  19. You would think this bunch of turds would want to reward Miller for coming out and saving their sorry asses...not this bunch..."hey anybody know if I can still make reservations Spiga for tonight this late?"
  20. Unfortunately that is the sound of the other shoe dropping on this mess of a team. Those are not "chips". They seem only capable of "slivering" away at the lead. Probably won't have enough time to sliver away.
  21. Miller has been pretty impressive since his return. Don't know what they will do with Beckett. What do you do with a guy that insists he is fine. Lets presume it is the Lat which is possible since he does not appear to be bending into his pitches (at least from my admittedly bad view), how does he deal with the "meaningless" golf outing thing now? Gee Josh you could go out swingin' the golf clubs in the rain but can't seem to pitch. Think there is a link there Sherlock Holmes Beckett?
  22. Hey you know Josh..."injuries are no excuse and I am just fine". OK Josh your just fine. So now we know you just suck *******. Go home jerk-off!
  23. Jerry...if they can still pull a FB on the outer half...that is what you call a s***** FB Jerry wake up buddy.
  24. Can they catch fly balls..hey maybe there is an opportunity here!
  25. That's how bad he looks to someone who has not seen him in awhile huh...like he wants outta' here. He is the bright spot in our rotation!
