  1. The Rays were very impressive.
  2. IMO, As Cole goes, so goes tonight's game. If Cole can control the Rays it will wreck havoc with how Cash rolls out his pitching and that could be that.
  3. Tough spot for Roberts to be in once he put Kelly out there in the 10th. If Kelly leaves the bullpen and his ball is flat, you can maybe convince yourself that he might find it out there on the mound. If Kelly comes out of the pen and his ball has movement and then goes flat (like last night) that is a real tough spot. By rights, Kelly should have not come out for the 10th and once out there when his ball went flat, he should have been out of that game. Who is going to step up and tell the Manager or Pitching Coach that Kelly's ball has gone flat? Is the Pitching Coach going to go out there and is the Catcher going to say it? Is the Shortstop going to say something? I don't remember the Pitching Coach going out there.....but I might not have been paying as much attention as I should have been. Its not like its a Red Sox game. I often don't watch games that the Sox are not in as intently as I should. I do know that Kelly's ball had gone flat on him though.
  4. Great...now instead of coaching pitchers to not throw strikes, he will be scouting for pitchers that...........DON'T THROW STRIKES.
  5. Depending on Joe Kelly to go two in that spot....not too bright Dave.
  6. Just not enough good pitching left in MLB and anybody that has any and uses it properly makes headway in the post season: - The twins had none, OBVIOUSLY - NL teams have more of it than AL teams (does not bode well for whomever the AL sends to the WS) - Grienke spit the bit, predictably. Astros forced to accommodate that hot mess, pitch Verlander on short rest, results again predictable. But the Astros do have a backup plan - Rays in game 4 pitch the best pieced together game of the year BY ANY TEAM That is all.
  7. Even when we win ...we lose. What a shitbag of a season. Thanks to all the GT posters. Really appreciate you guys.
  8. Yup No question. Then again...what are we wishing on Erod...we are the kings of extras and unbearably painful long games.
  9. Geez did I miss something? We only got a run out of that...1 run!!!!
  10. 6,735 HR's going into today. Must have hit about 45 yesterday which would be about right if everybody is playing. likely hit another 45 today for something around 6,780 on the regular season....RIDICULOUS
  11. Which is why there will be a bunch of radio whining about not keeping AB. Edelman was nursing ribs...Josh Gordon turned back into ......Josh Gordon. No Gronk and nobody running good routes and getting open. Eventually Bills pinned back their ears and Brady was bailin'
  12. Pats struggling with the Bills who have a backup QB playing which is like a normal practice team QB. Gonna' be a wild time on Boston Sports radio this week. "We should have kept AB on the team. What a STUPID move. Ghost of Myra Kraft comes back to get us. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaa"
  13. I don't watch much NFL but I think the comments I made earlier this year have turned out to be pretty accurate. Just another sports entertainment enterprise they are f***ing all to hell.
  14. Without the improvements he has made in that Change he would still be meh. If he does not pronate his wrist too much and turn that Change over its a devastating pitch. It just dies all the way to the plate and the hitter can't see that pitch. If we could see super-slow mo of the ball going throw the hitting zone I would bet anything that we would see ball and bat nowhere near in contact with each other when he throws it right. Vaz did not help Erod there calling for that stand up high fast ball. Erod changed his motion to hit the glove and if we noticed Erod never really came back from that pitch in that inning. f***ing Vaz ...if there is one thing he has to stop its calling for that f***ing stand up high FB.
  15. Poor Rick...He can't even get off the hook from the dugout!
  16. Eck creaming himself. What Erod has got Eck is an outstanding Change that if he throws it right is unhittable. Even if he doesn't set it up, if he throws it right, its unhittable.
  17. Don't be so glad until we actually see who we end up with. Thinking we can't do worse than Theo is probably flawed.
  18. Villar...a definite candidate for my all ******* team.
  19. He must be the change of scenery in hopes of recovering the magic pick. Only reason I can make for being all giddy about him. Hope to recover his 17' and 18' magic.
  20. Thanks...Ty...was not even thinking that the Sox game last night would force a new GT starter today....was not even thinking it was a day game until it popped up on my screen as starting.
  21. Hate to say it but he has pitched that way out this year.
  22. Sox going out with a whimper. hopefully we will have some post season GT's just for fun. Then I have a suspicion that Sox management is going to try to compel a hot hot stove off season just to keep the interest up if nothing else. I don't think MLB can afford teams to have quiet dormant off seasons.
  23. "41" or "43" Now you know how preoccupied I have been the last few days.
