You are right UN...Ortiz does have the green light without a sign from the dugout or at least he had it with Tito and I think had it with V. But I would think Naps is not there as yet. So that might be the first time Farrell has given somebody the green light in an AB this year.

Buerhle may not be terrible by 14 and 15 but $18 and $19M respectively...Holy Cats!!!!

I think $3M of the $8.5M was earmarked specifically for 2013 Buerhle salary. Just don't know if there is more headed the Jays way that is earmarked for Buerhle salary.

I wonder if Miami will still be paying part of Buehrle's money in 14 and 15. That is way too much money for him at that point but maybe palatable to the Jays if Miami is still footing part of the bill.

Ells big HR year was an anomaly. Although if healthy he will hit for more power than Vic will cause Vic is not even trying to hit for power. Pedey if healthy will hit for more power than Ells will any day of the week. You folks don't seem to be getting it. Asking Pedey to hit HR's if that thumb is still throbbing is unfair to Pedey. We have always treated the guy like he is bulletproof and immune to pain. I have always argued that is ******** and unfair to him as a player.

The point is...don't expect him to be clubbing HR's until that thumb is not throbbing. Pedey is not a pure power hitter anyway. When he hits for real power he does it with bat speed.

Pedey's bat speed just does not seem to be there...that is what happened with the throbbing thumb last time as well. Hard for him to jerk the ball outta' the park that way.

Drew has been slowly clawing back into it. That was a huge mistake pitch but Drew had not even been hitting mistake pitches up until a few days ago.

We won't want to see Dempster get behind in the count to Bats though. Buch can likely get away with it. Pitching to Bats the way we did last night plays into the Jays hands.

Boy has Buch been able to hit the black so far this season. I still want to see the Sox go after Bats a bit more tonight than they did last night. Buch can nibble like this cause his command is ridiculous so far this year and I guess tonight as well. However once we get past Buch our guys are going to have to go after Bats more than they did last night.
