If JBJ is ever going to do anything consistently at the plate this year, he must keep going to the opposite field. Don't care how many of these hard hit balls he gets to RF....he won't do much this year unless he keeps going oppo.
Hysterical.....why even walk XB if Lamb was going to pitch to Mitch that way. But in fact Lamb has pitched to every LH batter the same way....just suicidal.
Got a real good look at how quickly that part of the wall comes up on the fielder. He thinks he has a shot at it. His expectation from the curve of the wall is that he should have more room to run under the ball in RC field than in Right and exactly the opposite is happening. Very dangerous stuff.
Lamb could be just the sort of lefty in our park that sets up good for the Sox. Probably does not even know how easy it is for a lefty to get hurt in this park. Maybe we end up with a good game and some additional confidence against lefthanders.
This guy is just chewing us up. Mookie either not in the lineup or Mookie or JD not hitting and this offense is no bueno. God help us if JD trips on a sprinkler head out there.
And Cora seems t encourage it as well. I am beginning to wonder if he wanders through the clubhouse before games as the players are coming in off the street stopping at each locker to ask "gee are you OK after last night? Hang nail maybe.....sore toe.......crotch rot????"
If you want to know the truth of it...XB's slide last night looked more like he has taking a header off a diving board. That was ridiculous. He should just forget all that nonsense at 1st base and forget the head first slides elsewhere as well. Not good at it. Geez I was almost surprised he didn't break an arm and I would not be at all be surprised if his wrist got caught up in that. In fact that might explain why he was so torqued off about it when he was getting up at 2nd base.
