  1. Takes a mound visit to get Barnes to recognize what he is doing out there? Good grief. I know they are not brain surgeons but for crying out loud.
  2. What the f*** was that? Yup...I would be visiting the mound too to ask..........What the f*** was that!!!
  3. Just buzz this past him please
  4. Geez barnes don't throw another one of those please. As soon as the 1-0 left his hand I was squinting.
  5. Murphy probably thinks he has died and gone to heaven hitting it that far. His days of that sort of shot are pretty much over.
  6. Notice how the ball is just going and going tonight in this air. Not to rob any of the hitters their HR dues. They have all been hit well. But they are really flying tonight.
  7. I also like how Rick has stiffened after a fail with a hitter unlike SOME PITCHERS I KNOW!!!!!!
  8. His two seam has saved him tonight. I like it when that pitch is working for him because it has always been his bread and butter.
  9. Second time I have seen Sandy do that lately. Stupid both times. This time particularly so because Sandy has been swinging it pretty good against RH pitchers. A wasted AB.
  10. That was a bush league move by Eaton. He's in the batters box and Rick is in his motion and he asks for time. Not surprised he got a walk out of that. But he should not have been granted time.
  11. Well that about tears it on Pedey. Doctor keeps him in NY for a week here in July. Forget it.
  12. Man Rick is pitching his tail off. One bad pitch to a RH hitter that he probably really regrets because it was a RH hitter and a terrible pitch. But he is pitching a gem to this point. Score: Porcello-3, Nats-1
  13. Why didn't call him off Beni. You're just out there trotting along. That was your ball son.
  14. I thought that the Fox crew the night before did a more than credible job...even better than some of the local crews we see/hear. That was actually a performance they could be proud of. I even posted that night that if the ESPN crew were watching they should just go out and commit ritual suicide out of embarrassment.
  15. I swear it is so hard to think ESPN puts those three knuckleheads together on purpose. It is almost like they are insistent on insulting baseball fans. That is at least as credible a reason as some network exec deciding to put them in the booth together intentionally.
  16. That was all tremendous determination. That was not at all a bad pitch particularly to the opposing pitcher. Just a little up in the zone but Rick should have never been able to get around on that....NEVER!!!!
  17. Man you have got to give Rick tremendous credit there. Talk about stepping up. He might not be great. But he is not the choke job we had last night.
  18. Oh my God...are we going to continue to drag a long time forum member and obvious Sox fan through the mud because of a comment made over what he was forced to watch and hear last night? Price's start was in bad taste...in fact disgustingly bad taste. Price owes us an apology. If that was not bad enough, the ESPN booth was its usual horrific self, utterly useless and in fact maddeningly so. That is really what irritates people about that set up and those three idiots. They are not just bad...they piss you off because they are so bad. It does not even matter who is playing. They will have you pulling your hair out even if you don't have any skin in the game. Nobody needs me to defend them at his site, but for the love of God.
  19. I can not argue for why Price has had some success out of the pen. Who cares. At his salary, that we end up with another pen arm in the post season is small consolation. I can muse about the dif between pitching out of the pen and starting. Price has four days to think about his next start when he is a starter. It appears that he must be puking up his guts for those four days when they are in advance of a big game and he just goes out there and pitches like dog s***. This one, last night simply could not be mistaken for anything else but choking it up. This should no longer even be a discussion.
  20. Agreed, there is no possible way to give Price a post season start, not after last nights exhibition of big game futility. Just no way. Maybe they should bring his puppy dog to the clubhouse for hugs and comforts before he pitches in a big game. He goes to the pen for the post for my money and only gets a start if the entire rotation falls apart physically leaving no option.
  21. Who cares about Price Octobers at this point. The Sox would be out of their minds to give Price a post season start after last night. He's going to the pen in October if the Sox have any sense at all. I don't see even how this in question any longer. He chokes in big game starts....PERIOD....end of story.
  22. That to me last night was the worst as in most obvious incident of Price just choking it up that I have seen and lets face it there have been many instances where his biggest failures have come in big games. But last night he was clearly a nervous wreck out there. When you cannot even execute a FB and you live on a FB, you are not throwing the ball freely. There was no physical reason that I could see for him not throwing the ball freely. His FB was either out of the zone as in not even close or piped right down the middle of the plate. His cutter didn't cut (and a cutter is just another type of FB) and his Change didn't change anything the few times he even attempted it. HE CHOKED again and this time as definitively as I have ever seen it. I would not let this chump get anywhere near a big game start in the post season. If we were up 3-0 in a 4 game I might let him start and you really cannot set up your rotation expecting to be up 3-0. So for my money he goes to the pen for any post season game and that is that. Hopefully he gets ridden out of town on a rail because I am tired of the appeasers coddling this prick.
  23. Keep throwing that garbage up there David. Kid has no hits at all in the bigs and he thumps your garbage. "felt good coming out of my hand" Really david...which one felt good coming out of your hand. The first HR...was it that one....or maybe the second HR felt good coming out of your hand...was that it....the third one, the fourth one....Oh it was the fifth one that felt good coming out of your hand. OK thanks for that David.
  24. Oh don't worry. Games not over yet. Price isn't done giving up runs yet. We will likely be able to tell within the first 3 pitches of the next inning if he is still throwing crap. Its not hard to see. Choke job...maybe the most obvious choke job I have seen Price author and I have seen quite a few of them.
