Yea they are FB hitters and a whole bunch of pitchers are FB pitchers. Do we really think Price would be getting away with the junk he is throwing tonight with any decent team...all four of the other decent teams in the AL? I don't think so, not in a big game. This is a choke job. Sorry...it just is.

Pearce is a heck of a smart move for us. I would absolutely guarantee that Mitch would not have held up playing as much as we would have asked of him. His hitting would have gone entirely to s*** before too long.

You can't put Beni in JD's category as a hitter. JD is closer to Manny than I thought he ever would be and Beni isn't close to that.

Now that might not have looked much different from a 100 other Rafi plays at 3rd. But that was the best play Rafi has made going left this season. That was a very professional fielding play for a 3rd baseman.

That was pretty funny on the dropped 3rd strike. Hitter had taken two steps and was just trotting and was already way out of Sandy's ability to catch up to him. "Screw it..just gonna' throw it to Mitch"

That broken bat reminds me of where we were earlier in the season. Makes me wonder if one of the major bat companies had a bad run of wood. We were getting broken bats every inning in some games and it was when the weather had turned temperate. Of course nobody is going to say anything. So we won't know. But I can remember thinking that I had never seen that many broken bats for about the period up till the end of May.
