  1. Beni is not my favorite player. But look at where those pitches were thrown. Good luck with that.
  2. Guy has pitched dog crap since having to go from the stretch for the first time. As likely to walk in a run v Beni as anything else.
  3. I can't quite find a rational for why we are being dominated by this pitcher. He is throwing well and he is moving the ball around. But we are doing NOTHING. Little hard to explain NOTHING.
  4. Yea, you are! I will say this about that non-call. I can see where the low ref might have missed that. He was partially blocked. But where was the high ref on that. He should have had a clear view of it.
  5. It is Chara that took the puck in the face. Grzylic is the guy that got mugged against the boards, concussed in game 2 and has not been back since then.
  6. Then you have seen worse non-calls than that. My God they used to commit assault and battery, federal offenses worth 5-10 in the pen and get a non-call.
  7. 5 innings, 50 pitches. That's encouraging.....NOT
  8. 40 years ago, that qualified as a clean, well played hockey game. In fact the fans would likely have gone away disappointed that there was not enough blood spilled. The non-call when Carlo (I think it was Carlo) got upended was a very bad non-call. The Bruins are getting outplayed and Chara is a shell of his former self. He needs to hang them up after this season if this is all he has left. I don't like us losing a defenseman for multiple games while the player that concussed him is out for one game. THAT SUCKS. But thats NHL hockey. My God, without Rask that would have been a 5-0 score.
  9. Moreland borders on great going arm side. Glove side....not so much. X is outstanding going arm side and its his glove side play that keeps him from busting into the top two or three defensive Shortstops in baseball.
  10. Their dead IMO. They have to play Chara too much and the Blues are just licking their chops waiting for his shifts.
  11. Well it didn't go out did it? But that is also why I have said in past threads that I would take Kiermaier over JBJ every day and twice on Sunday. He will give you that and give you that on a pretty steady basis. Won't give you more than that. But you are not waiting 40 games for a JBJ 10 game hitting streak followed by about another 60 games of awful and on and on and on.
  12. This could hurt. Keirmaier not likely to hit it out. But he could hit some lame duck and it will score two here.
  13. Changes up in the zone are sooooo easy to hit. Choi barely even swung at that. Doubt that is where Sandy was planning to see that thing.
  14. Two out...none on...Rafi tries to butt his way on from the 3 hole. Don't think kid. It just hurts the team.
  15. I don't know about that. When Gyzelcyk went down, the Bruins really were stuck with Chara and injured or not the Blues are literally looking for Chara. He is so slow that the Blues are actually able to throw the puck over to his side of the ice and have a forward take three strides before Chara takes one, go around him, beat him to the puck and get it off the boards before Chara can even reach him. Its that bad. He was abused and made to look foolish behind Rask's net as well. Plus that long stick of his is no longer extended with the force we have seen in the past. The Blues are just pushing it aside...not a factor. The Blues know that even with Chara's experience they can literally look for him, push the play to his part of the ice and abuse him. You might as well have a telephone pole out there frozen into the ice. Really don't know what the Bruins can do unless Grzelcyk can come back and play. Does not help that the Bruin's top line can't seem to get going on a consistent basis. But I don't think it matters. The Blues are standing the Bruins up at the Blue Line and Bruins have not been able to enter the Blues end of the ice on a consistent basis. Not clear to me how the Bruins take two games from the Blues the way the Bruins are playing and the way the Blues are playing. The Blues have had an excellent game plan for playing these Bruins. Chara is not going to get better and the Blues are just licking their chops waiting for him to come back on the ice.
  16. "Two strikes....here it comes kid...the pitch we know you can't hit......and......you can't hit it"
  17. Christ, they are just toying with Chavis now. This is what I don't like about a kid being here that does not belong here.
  18. X has been coaching Devers in the field all season....apparently even while X is making a play himself.
  19. Do you think Gordon's vision is going?
  20. Geezua....you didn't even have the common decency to put up a sarcasm alert.
  21. Its not your fault. NESN has been pumping this Weber/Maddux crap since he has been pitching here.
  22. People have been waiting for the second coming of Greg Maddux since Greg Maddux. Hasn't happened yet. Worse, we have these woebegones that somebody decides throws like Maddux, whatever that means.
  23. For one thing, I would not swing out of my shoelaces as much as Chavis does. That is not helping him as it only makes the holes in his swing that much larger. Then I would work on why he simply is hopeless on FB's from the waist to the top of the strike zone. That is a massive hole in his swing and virtually any ML pitcher can throw a FB between the belt and the top of the strike zone. If you can't hit a FB, you don't belong up here. Once he closes off that hole in his swing, however long it takes, then he can start working on the low and away which also eats him alive. If he tries to work on both at once, he will fail. If he tries to work on the low and away before solving the FB from the belt to the top of the zone, he will fail. Gotta' figure out how to hit a FB first. Might be too anxious. Might be too concerned with hitting every ball a mile. I don't even think he is seeing the ball because he is missing it by a mile, usually swinging when the ball is past his bat and virtually in the catchers mitt. He almost looks like he is looking to see where he hit it before he hits it.
  24. LH bats are just killing Junis. I am trying to remember if he has gotten a LHer out tonight. Maybe Rafi once and Sandy once and JBJ once. Not Holt, not Beni at all.
