  1. The twins keep thinking that Change is something else and keep swinging at it thinking it will leak back to the inside part of the plate.
  2. Calm down ERod. You barely hold it together under normal situations.
  3. The LH hitters for the Twins are going to start to hone in on that Change and send one to the moon.
  4. Throw a strike why don't ya' ERod
  5. Well that worked out. NOTTTTT!!!
  6. Good...time to pound Gibson senseless before he wakes up and figures out what he actually wants to do.
  7. 2 outs to kepler...scares the crap out of me.
  8. Geez did ERod and Gibson play in the field last night or something? They are both pretty pitiful so far.
  9. Damn...let him off the hook. But I actually think Gibson is still there. Still has not figured out what he wants to throw through 2 innings and still throwing everything cause other than his Sinker, NOTHING is working. Seems only to have eliminated that useless Changeup....I think!
  10. Npt Gibson's night.
  11. Gibson showing signs of Clay Buchholz syndrome. You just cannot throw this many different pitches successfully in one game. It is hugely rare. Clay did it successfully for a grand total of 1 game in his major league career and got a no hitter out of it. But you just cannot do what Gibson seems adamant about doing successfully.
  12. Gibson does not throw that Sinker when he should and then dishes it up to Chavis. He needs a complete reset or he is not long for this game.
  13. Got too cute with X and ended up giving him the base. Atta boy Brock
  14. ERod features 2 out lapses just as he features 2 strike lapses. Gotta' be something about the number 2.
  15. This could be another interesting game. Gibson has the heaviest sinker I have seen since Derrick Lowe's. Its not quite as heavy as Lowes. My God in his prime did anyone have a heavier sinker than Lowe? I would not be surprised to see a lotta' weak ground balls from our hitters unless they jump on something other than that sinker.

  17. We still don't get timely hits. We are still inconsistent 1-6 in the batting order and I don't see an actual solution on the horizon until and unless we become more consistent 1-6 in the order. Any good or above starter shuts us down now and there are plenty of those to go around.
  18. Glad to see Mookie pick on his HR pitch last night and drive it. But Mookie still has to learn that you cannot cover the whole plate every pitch of every AB. Nobody can....no hitter has ever been able to unless he is the world's greatest punch and judy hitter. If you want to drive the ball, you have to pick your zones and you have to pick them virtually every pitch of every AB. You have to decide what locations for pitches will prompt a swing from you and which won't with less than two strikes. Mookie too easily gets himself to two strikes this year and he is no X as regards being a two strike hitter. But he is getting there!
  19. Agreed...but that is not the rule. Good thing its not the rule. You should see how many batters are "partially" out of the box every swing they take.
  20. Actually, no he wasn't. You can see it clearly in the slo-mo that NESN just ran as they swallowed their anger and realized Rosario WAS NOT out of the box.
  21. Don't know what Cora was complaining about. Just frustrated I guess. There is no worse place to view the batters box from than the dugout. Whatever Cora thought he saw, he didn't see. As it turns out, he was wrong anyway. Not a surprise considering his view of what he was complaining about. I do have some advice for those that want to appreciate this game and this is not a direct response to the post I replied to here. Love this game for what it is, not for what its not. It does not lend itself to replay and it never will. Replay does not need to be expanded. It needs to be retracted. Use it for HR's, foul or fair balls, plays at the plate AND THAT IS IT! This was a terrific baseball game following up another terrific baseball game. No errors over 18 innings, a few great plays mixed in. We lost...It seemed our compete level was very high though. Seemed to me there were more ways to get Beni home from 3rd than we employed. Hopefully, what we didn't do, helps us later in the season.
  22. So Cora's answer on Price "we decided we had to take care of him"....WHATEVER THAT MEANS!
  23. I am afraid to hear the answer to that one.
