    We are STILL doing NOTHING v opposing Starters. Does our team BA even start with a .2 v Starting pitchers? How bout' our team OPS v Starters. That one might be REALLY ugly.

    Hey I got a question based on something they were tossing around in the booth yesterday. I missed the booth opening segment. So it might have been there. Eck was supposed to bring in a baseball today...any ML baseball from what must be quite a few at his home so that they could compare lets say a 1990's baseball with today's rocket ship. As soon as I heard it yesterday I said to myself "yea NESN is going to let this happen....ah-hah". Did I miss it or can we assume NESN shut that right down!

    It will be interesting to see if the Jays have to come with Giles today after having gone yesterday. He has pitched really well this year but has mostly done it with a cranky arm....supposedly all better now. I would be interested to see if he could go back to back and duplicate. We were hopeless against his heat yesterday. Geez here I am doing NESN's job for it now. "STAY TUNED. THIS COULD GET INTERESTING"

    They can roll him out to a position with one arm stuck out with a glove on it. He will STILL find his way back to the IL in short order.

    Well I would not be that harsh. All star futures?...not much of that on this team. But Biggio and Jr for all the gaff I give him are going to be solid ML ballplayers. I really like Tellez.

    Its not even like they are not hitting on all cylinders. Its never the same cylinders: - Its Bullpen gives it up or - 1-6 in the order inconsistent or - starter sucks or now the ugly of uglies - they have to play Nunny

    Of course we might have been able to see the replay of tellez foot and the bag on the play at 1st if it were not for NESN's scrolling footer at the bottom of the screen. God forbid they would drop that thing for just a few seconds so that we could actually see what the f*** they were talking about.

    Ever notice how the vaunted NESN booth crew is always talking about some mishmash or another entirely unrelated to the game while an opposing pitcher is just blowing us down in an inning?

    Geez I looked up at the screen too quickly as Nunny stepped in and seeing what was the score box, I thought the Jays "2" was in the OUTS box and immediately flashing through my mind, "how did I miss that". The scary part is that my mind was not willing to rule out that we had somehow been recorded for two outs that quickly in the inning!

    I would still love to see the ERA starters have established against our club this year. I suspect it is some UGLY looking number, at least ugly for an offense.

    With the Jays coming to the plate if there is one thing I have been impressed with in their case is there ability to lay off high heat. Almost nobody seems to be able to lay off high heat. For some reason the Jays seem pretty selective in that regard.

    Well - Tellez makes a turtle look like a sprinter. So no matter where that bunt attempt ended up HE was not going to end up on 2nd base. - He is one of if not the best power hitter the Jays have batting against a RH pitcher with 2 out and nobody on. - if he succeeded it would have been two out with a "runner" (pardon the overstatement) at 1st - giving up the strike didn't hurt him in the end because he is that good a hitter which is sorta' my point

    Well you know....its Holt....two weeks on three weeks off. Three weeks on, 6 weeks off....like that. Love the guy. But Mother of God.
