    I'm in the same boat Kimmi, as inconsistent as he is..... The man can play some damn good baseball when he gets hot. He started the season last year on fire and had shades of his CY Young season. I think he has it in him to turn this season around throw some good pitches.

    Granted it's a bad start to the season, our boys are still breaking records. The starting rotation is off to the worst start in franchise history at an ERA of 7.18. The previous mark was in 1931 at 6.96. So..... we have that.

    Wow, didn't realize that...… Guess the negotiation he made was not good enough. Unfortunately when you are as inconsistent as Porcello is, it's risky signing someone like that to a big extension. He isn't showing anything this season either that he can break out of that funk.... Though he was pretty decent last year. Seems he has a good year followed by a terrible year.

    His ERA needs to be better than 12 or whatever god awful thing it's at right now for any manager to take him half serious.

    He said he really wants to stay in Boston, so it's not completely crazy that he might make a really good offer if it means he can stay. He was obviously excellent in his CY Young season, and very good last year..... I do think he turns it around at some point this season. At this point I'm just hoping he can make it longer than 3 innings.

    Reverse jinx: It's 15-0 by the 4th inning and many of the players for Boston are seen with what appears to be sweat..... however upon further look they are actually crying from the severe beating at the hands of the ever so powerful New York Yankees. The sox finally get the offense going and Martinez has a beautiful homerun in the 9th. Sox lose 27-1. Get your head out of your ass and play some f**king baseball!!!!!!! GET A WIN!!!!!! By any means! Heaven forbid Eovaldi goes 7 shutout innings tonight! Stat wise we are dead last in the league for starting rotation, and 18th at bats. No win right now is going to be pretty..... So just win any way you can.

    Maybe Porcello is secretly playing bad so he doesn't get extended..... :confused:

    Unless I haven't heard something that has come up it's looking more and more like Porcello is gone after this season? He said he desperately wants to stay in Boston and it sounds like he would negotiate a decent contract, but from the sounds of it.... management doesn't overly want Porcello here as the discussions have completely stopped. I am a huge Porcello fan and always have been, but the guy is far from anything decent this season. Any thoughts on what might happen with Porcello in the off season? Also.... sorry if a thread was created on this already, I was looking for one but couldn't find it. If there is..... mods can delete this and point me in the right direction

    He just can't seem to figure it out and piece it all together. His second start of the season, his velocity was not there at all but his command and control was fantastic after he get up the one run. Now his fast ball is seemingly back, but he was all over the place last night. We are now dead last in the league for pitching. Thank god Price seems to have got it going.

    Well whether Sale is hurt or not. He sucks. Plain and simple. I hope he’s hurt because that would explain it. Otherwise....... it’s the contract curse.

    At least you don’t cheer for the Senators. They gave me absolutely nothing to cheer for this year lol. Hopefully the Raptors can make me happy tonight.
