  1. Yoshi just got JT on base??? He is doing it all!
  2. JT has made good contact... maybe one will land right here.
  3. Can't wait to see what kind of season Yoshi has next year- after a year of knowing these pitchers and ball parks.
  4. Ha- certainly can't argue with that- but lots of teams have been embarrassed by TB this year. Quite a run they are on.
  5. Duran needs to be moved up in the lineup.
  6. 100%. AL East is particularly tough- and with this new schedule nobody gets to beat up on anyone as much so it is a much tighter race from top to bottom.
  7. Is this rotation as bad as it seems?
  8. The whole lineup is starting to feel like they are putting up the white flag on the season. Not fun at-bats to watch.
  9. Hopefully another commentator will brag about how Casas.. "really understands the strike zone."
  10. Man- I'm too negative.... I guess we are only down by 2... which with a poor start from the bump is ... ok- ish. Let's find some hits!
  11. ST. Louis certainly had cheaper rent than many cities.
  12. I had checked out (online) some housing and apartment options there.... looked pretty cool place to be and easy to get to the ball park.
  13. Hard to think anyone could coach some of these guys to better performances.... not like Paxton or Kluber are new to what they are doing.
  14. Maybe Kluber told Paxton the pen was a nice place to be.... they are both pitching about the same washed up quality.
  15. So.... what team will I follow the second half of the year? These games could get tougher and tougher to watch. Anyone have a NL team they follow closely besides just the Red Sox?
  16. My enthusiasm is diminishing rather quickly.
  17. Here we go... let go Sox! Due for a good positive performance.
  18. Which part was "a crock"? I had said "Strike zones are defined by the rules. The umps job is to enforce if a ball is in or out of that zone- not to make up a zone."- in response to the statement that umps "establish" the strike zone. When you said, "No umpire is making up his own strike zone. He's simply calling what he sees. ".... I'm pretty sure we are saying the same thing with those two comments. My question / premise is that if when he sees it, interprets it, calls it wrong (outside of what the rules say) why not use technology to get it right? It is hard- in fact mindblowing how good of a job most umps do most of the time... but when you can easily make a visible line to ensure it is right all the time- I'm all for it. To me it is not changing anything- just making it more true to the rules. I hear what you are saying and understand your point of view. I appreciate the perspective and back-and-forth. And you are spot on in my mind in regards to the actual outcome of the game... Sox needed to play better.. much better. Anytime any team needs a call or two to go their way to win... they are not a good team.
  19. Ugly loss. Thanks all for the company during the game.
  20. Truly sad he is not on the Sox this year. We've probably won at least a few more games at this point with him on the roster... and that makes a TON of difference in the AL East this year.
  21. Nice looking pitching there!
