    Anyone else find it strange that Crawford's struggled to deal with the pressure of Boston and his new contract yet he's killed the Yankees and gotten tons of walk off hits?

    I don't know where you're getting that from. The Red Sox front office never claimed that Lowe was a drunkard, even though it was common knowledge among fans who saw him making the rounds after every game. You can't have it both ways Jackson. You can't refer to the Yankees as respectful of their veteran players even though they've taken issues with Williams, Jeter and Posada public and then claim that the Red Sox are poster children for smear campgains run by "the machine" (whatever that is) because they've done the same thing to some of their parting veterans.

    I'm glad Tazawa is pitching effectively again. I'm interesting in seeing how it transfers to AAA and MLB where hitters are more proficient at hitting breaking balls.

    I was at the game, the Twins had not one but two minor league hitters named Rene in their lineup.

    I actually agreed with Jackson on this one up until he claimed that Theo smears players. I think the Yankees have been more than generous with Posada and Jeter's recent contracts. I think the only reason Jeter was displeased with the contract talks is because he's arrogant and live in a separate universe where he thought someone was willing to pay $20 million a year to sign him.

    It's so nice to have those redheaded step children back in second place where they belong. Hopefully that's the last they sniff the division lead all year.

    A great start by Garcia, solo shots by Nunez and Gardner. But in the end the smoke and mirrors simply weren't enough. I hope Crawford gets a day off from everyone s***ing on him considering he was 9-for-10. Same goes for Tito's whose bunt play helped tie the game.
