  1. I bet bkz loves that Judge is your only offense tonight LOL
  2. To "get him off his feet" according to Castiglione. Sure worked for Bogaerts last night
  3. We will win a lot of games if the bottom of the order can produce even half of the time
  4. Now that Renfroe is heating up, no reason Cordero should ever play again LOL
  5. One more inning and his ERA will be under 3
  6. Pivetta sure is throwing strikes tonight
  7. Oh man I haven't been there in years
  8. Yankees pregame show wasn't so sure about Hicks just yet
  9. We survived their best 3 hitters
  10. Tonight for dessert is vegan, low sugar, protein-infused fudge brownie flavored cookie dough. Pair that with a Sox win and it'll be a damn good night
  11. Orioles adjusted their rotation so that Means starts on Sunday.
  12. Chavis 2B Verdugo CF Martinez LF Bogaerts SS Devers DH Vazquez C Gonzalez 3B Renfroe RF Dalbec 1B I like this lineup very much.
  13. Ah yes, I remember that one now that you mention it. This certainly does not excuse it, but that was the continuation of a repeating joke that Slasher and others had initiated when I first went to college. I am definitely much more mature now; I lost most of my friends after freshman year for being a straight up ******* most of the time. Regardless, I apologize. I'm sure you can believe me now when I say it won't happen again.
  14. Do you recall a specific post that you were offended by? Just curious
  15. Either way, I suddenly have more confidence in our #3 and #4 pitchers than in our #1 and #2 pitchers
  16. RHP Griffin Canning (3-2, 5.19) vs RHP Nick Pivetta (5-0, 3.19) One has to wonder if the Angels will ever live up to their potential. Here they sit at 16-20, dead last in the AL West. Offensively, they are nothing to write home about. Sure, Trout and Ohtani are two of the top 10 players in the game right now, but beyond them, there's not much to brag about. Jared Walsh is having a semi-breakout year, and old friend Jose Iglesias is getting on base, but not really hitting for power (which shouldn't come as a huge surprise). They are 3-7 in their last 10, and have scored 9 total runs in their last 4 games. They do have Anthony Rendon, who should return from the IL at some point this weekend. He is eligible to return tonight. Like the Angels teams of the last decade or so, pitching continues to be a major disappointment. Ohtani has been stellar, but we will not see him on the hill this series. Instead, we will see Canning tonight, former Oriole Dylan Bundy tomorrow, and former Cub and White Sox Jose Quintana on Sunday. The two righties have ERAs just north of 5, while Quintana has been struggling, with an ERA of 9 over 6 starts. The raw numbers give us the edge in pitching matchups for all 3 games. So, if we continue the offensive attack we got last night, we can easily win this series. I personally would love a sweep, because we NEED to start playing better at home. Also, it's finally springtime at Fenway. Temps in the 70s all 3 games. Slight chance of rain on Sunday afternoon but certainly not a washout.
  17. I agree; that's not what I meant to imply. I just really want to see Chavis get more playing time. I can't watch games, but on the radio, they have been saying how hungry and determined Chavis looks this year.
  18. Still on the schedule. On Wednesday's radio broadcast, they didn't seem too concerned. Just arm soreness and cold symptoms they said. Convenient way to call up an extra pitcher for the night, I suppose.
  19. My ideal everyday lineup (by position - not by place in the batting order) would look like this: Verdugo LF Kike CF Renfroe RF Dalbec 1B Chavis 2B Xander SS Devers 3B Vazquez C Martinez DH Against a tough LHP: Verdugo has been sitting against them so far, so put JD in LF If Devers sits, put Marwin at 3B Against a tough RHP: Chavis at 1B for Dalbec Arroyo at 2B Cora can put Marwin in wherever he wants depending on who he wants to give a day off to. In this hypothetical, Franchy has been demoted
  20. Pivetta is on the hill tonight against the Angels, who may get Rendon back tonight. Will he "crashing and burning" tonight? Or maybe next week in Dunedin? For the most part I agree with your points though. I hope you're wrong, but it does seem like the starting pitching will let us down at some point
  21. Chavis is a human sparkplug. Case and point: the leadoff hustle double last night. He brought instant energy to the ballpark. He's worth having on the roster to me, and you can't really have both Arroyo and Chavis up here
  22. Casas had himself quite a night here in Hartford! Maybe I should try to get to a game this weekend while the Sea Dogs are still in town
  23. All things considered, I would have taken losing 2 out of 3 coming into this series. The only thing that gets me, though, is how we lost those 2 games. Hate to waste good pitching nights with anemic offensive performances. We know the bullpen will cost us at least a few more wins down the road, so it's crucial to win the games where they are nearly lights out.
